1001 Albums Summary

I remember when this album came out, my friend Claire made all of us listen to it on repeat and played it at all the house parties and bought an orange leotard to wear to their concert. This is how I imagined Lestat’s Vampire Band would look and sound like I wonder if that’s what The Darkness used as inspiration.

Would you believe that Apple Music doesn't HAVE this album? I listened to Ramblin' Jack Elliott Sings Woody Guthrie and Jimmie Rodgers and Cowboy Songs and SHIT this guy's great. It's possible I listened to him when he was older and more settled but I still give the man 5 stars I gotta listen to more folk music

Saw Lorde in 2018 on the Plaines d’Abraham in what might be the best concert of my life with 90,000 of my closest friends. Cyndi Lauper opened! This album will always remind me of that night

This did get me through a lot of inventorying but it is (Prince) a little too sexy for blasting on the work speakers I did that anyway which made it awkward when my boss walked in to introduce a new faculty member

I don’t listen to this album much and I can’t remember the last time I listened to it all the way through! I guess I’ll always do a double take between Blue Orchid and The Nurse and wonder who turned on the Rugrats theme 😭

My Glasgow guys! 40’ haunts me even though its lyrics are almost entirely “la la la la la la la la”

Best thing I can say about it is La Grange was on this album and I will continue to listen to that song, sometimes
