Remember this album.......sounds contemporary still....not my bag really but wouldn't turn it off if stumbled upon

Hey now we have a stone wall classic....the man who repeatedly changed each decades music when he made a record....listen & learn..

The essence of Cobain.....looking back on their releases, they stand the test of time even if Nevermind is mind crushingly compressed...this one is light shining through a gap in the gloom....

Not for everyone, but that's the point of a sound and a band like this.....in the current climate, especially the unfortunate souls who live in the USA, sentiment is never more prescient...

Rawk and roll!.....a milestone album....

The quintessential rock band bar none.....pure energy....basic, raw and dynamic.....

Goth favourite, swirling smithonian symphonies.....

Brilliant, just simplicity personified

The new Beach Boys filtered through the 21st century...gasp and sit down...

Sorry cannot abide this artist....every song follows the same vocal pattern...indeed everything she's sung does......melody free zone....

Screeching loose blues...not good...

One dimensional emoting over a lumping dirge....

The sound of black America.....sadly still relevant...

Perfection on a disc, only overshadowed by their next release......they had been honing their sound for years, Meddle is another great album, the second side hinting at what was to come, but it is still shocking that Floyd managed to produce such a timeless record (all this discovered later on).........I can still remember hearing it for the first time at my girlfriends house, on an 8 track stereo system, top volume, the heartbeat opening pulsating through the empty semi dark room, which was set for breakfast for the following day as it was a large victorian guest house by the Welsh coast.....surreal to be surrounded by rows of empty tables......I'd never as a 14 year old ever heard anything like it, it being the first time I'd heard Floyd, and the record had only been out for a few weeks so it was in the period it was released in......this, Crimson and Mahavishnu Orchestra all sent me on a musical journey of exploration that continues today, more than 50 years later.....

Excellent 80s widescreen snapshot.....one of the highlights of their output...
