Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Aug 06 2026

Cosmic Dancer is my favorite it struck me I love the sound of it I think if the whole album sounded like this I would like it even more. It usually takes me a while to warm up to new albums but I liked this one on the first listen. I’m always looking for albums that are calm enough to listen to without disturbing my peace but have enough of a beat to hold my attention and I think this album has that rare combo. PS the song Rip Off sounds like the Vampire Lestat iykyk

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Aug 07 2026

Beautiful and haunting. As a recovering Catholic, I am a sucker for media that blends religious imagery with yearning for beautiful women? Anyway, here’s my listening notes for some of my favorites: Hey that’s no way to say goodbye - It’s such a sweet love song. But then he says things like “let’s not talk of love or chains or things we can’t untie.” Heartbreaking Suzanne - beautiful, devastating, lyrical, melodic, atmospheric. Melodically my favorite Winter Lady - a woman in a male dominated field. He’s fighting for her even though she’s not his lover. Sisters of mercy - Now the listener is the beautiful traveler who needs rest, and the sisters are there to save us. I like the bell chimes in the background. Feels like church, but the altar is women The stranger - the reference to Joseph looking for a manger was well placed and added a nice depth. Was Joseph a dirtbag? Or does thinking of Joseph that way make me sympathize with the dirtbag men of the world needing a place to rest? I also love the parallel to Winter Lady. He is condemning of the stranger man but his perspective of the winter lady is so gentle, I deeply understand this. One of us cannot be wrong - the yearning. It captures so well the fantasy of wanting others to see your heartbreak or experience it so you know that it’s real.

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads

I will admit that I underestimated this album but in Stop Making Sense David Byrne’s dance moves and big suit endeared me to him I love that little man he’s a strange critter. They really have an artistic vision and it comes together beautifully

This album simply can’t be improved

The Yes Album by Yes

Nice guitar riffs, at some points the album sort of dragged and lost my attention but overall I liked it

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Sep 02 2026

2004 Kanye where did you go … I loved this album lyrically and it tells a story. The song Family Business is so sentimental, it reminds me of early Chance the Rapper. And Kanye’s version of I’ll Fly Away was a transcendental experience for me.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies

I think it would take a few more listens for me to warm up to this album because it isn’t my usual genre. I like Where is My Mind and I’m Amazed. And I can def tell the influence this album had on other 90s bands. Kim Deal .. call me a lesbian but there’s something about a woman who plays bass guitar ..
