1001 Albums Summary

Strong folk sound, little bit of early country. Shades of Dylan with greater vocal range, albeit less lyrical depth. Strong theme of wistful melancholy throughout. Enjoyable experience but wouldn't make it onto the heavy rotation.

A slight disappointment. The two big singles stand out and a couple of other undiscovered gems but otherwise a slightly bland and forgettable album overall.

A long overdue listen. Slick flows and catchy beats collide to show you why Biggie is considered to be one of the greatest. It's a smooth album that flows well.

Nice chill album. Fairly proggy sound. Good background music or as a soundtrack for quiet contemplation. Couple of standout tunes like Eyes to the Wind.

Very nice album. Lovely mixture of balladic melodies and clean early rock and roll guitar sounds. Complimented well by the vocals.

The Beach Boys at their most surreal and melancholic. Brian's genius at its most flawed. Such an interesting departure from their earlier sound. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Starts strong with the big single. Love the bluesy sound of Smokin' and ends well with a more balladic sound. The rest of it is eminently forgettable.

Not a sound for me at all. Grungy post-punk, couldn't even get to the second half of the album.
