Moon Safari by Air
Aug 13 2026

For a debut album, it’s pretty well done. They’re able to create these soundscapes that are very inviting and small-scale but also have these melancholy or sometimes spacey tones. The vocal tracks are pretty good, and some tracks do stick out more than others. It’s meant to be enjoyed as a purely auditory experience, so I can’t blame it for dragging at times. Overall pretty sweet, might check out more from them.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Aug 14 2026

I’m not very familiar with folk music, but this was a pleasant-sounding debut. It’s very traditional and achieves this pure and wistful essence. It’s sort of bland vocally with some commendable instrumentation, overall not the type of thing I usually enjoy.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Aug 15 2026

It’s classic metal in the way it should. The lyrics utilize religious or fantastical imagery, Ozzy’s performance is really infectious, and the music itself is great to listen to. It’s overall pretty entertaining and a good introduction to Sabbath.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Aug 16 2026

There’s a banger or two on this album for sure, but doesn’t really stand out for me. The pop rock tunes sound great and would probably work in the background of a small get-together, but nothing much beyond that. I can appreciate it, but I’ll just say it’s alright.

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Aug 17 2026

A work of art that proves that you can have style and substance. In the face of subjects like police brutality, poverty, and addiction, you have these soulful grooves and lively instrumentation that make this album both a celebration and a wake-up call.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Aug 18 2026

I really know nothing about the context in which this was made or the band’s history at this point, but this early album shows that they still needed to perfect their craft. The songs aren’t very memorable, but the sound is there and the overall performance musically and vocally is well done.
