Cohen is a master in songwriting. His instrumentals are phenomenal. His voice is mid, but it adds to the beauty of it I suppose. Like he's just some guy with a lot of Feelings and lots of stories to tell. Anyone can sing a Cohen song, and it's so satisfying to listen to a Singer sing these songs. How many Singers have sung Suzanne, and did a wonderful job at it? I'm looking at you François Hardy t'es la sirène dans la chanson que t'as chanté mwah je t'aime jsuis déprimée je meure 4.5

Very fun, very 90s but at some point I think,, god this is the exact instrumental Sears would play when they put you on hold :| Loved when they did Britney on Glee

Reminds me of Jack Stauber. It’s a good album as a creative exploration thing, and has a fun freakiness to it. But also like Stauber, I listen to it once, think “oh that’s interesting” and then have no interest in listening to it again 3 1/2 stars

oh fuck he really got a twang i like the instrumentation, i don't like this guy's singing. would be so so good with yodeling. where's that walmart kid but seriously, it's like leonard cohen. good lyrics, eh voice, great fodder for other vocalists to cover. I can really see Johnny Cash, Jason Isbell, Norah Jones, etc etc doing well with these songs 2.75/5

I love a sorrowful lap guitar, I'm a sucker for blues vocal harmony! I love a twangy twang wild west geetar and a jumpin fiddle. Love a Hobo's Meditation and love a wildflower. Loved the mandolin (?) that sounded very similar to trad Mexican music. YUM! I've never heard of Linda Ronstadt. What a voice! Beyutifullll! Wish Christine McVie was invited to the trio, but that probably would have imploded the Earth.

It's technically rock, but it's nice n chill. It would never be in the car CD rotation. It's "headphones and lay down and maybe smoke" CD rotation

def has some bangers, but not the best rap album I've heard. 2.5/5

Reminded me of Rocky Horror. And I didn't really like Rocky Horror outside of Glee camp-yness of it all. I expected Across the Universe to be my favorite (ly Fiona) but god actually it kinda sucked. Can You Hear Me was nice and ofc Fame
