1001 Albums Summary

Solid album filled with folk, rock, and folk-rock hits. Love the touches of genius spread throughout: the distorted ending on Cinnamon Girl; the ooh-woo's meandering through Round and Round; the build-up of the closer Cowgirl in the Sand. And of course, the killer title track Everybody Knows, short, sweet, powerful. Sadly, do not care too much for the meandering Down By The River, or much of anything else the second half has to offer. But can gladly say they don't AT ALL bother me either.

I imagine this guy being like a 70's Beck. Didn't really hook into this album. Aside from Get It On (pretty good) and Cosmic Dancer (REALLY good), I probably won't revisit this album. 2 stars feels too harsh, but 3 stars also wouldn't feel fair.
