Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu

The Jimi Hendrix styled intro is so funky oh it's so good I love it. Don't Cha Know reminds me of her debut which I love so I can't complain. I love the added instruments compared to her debut with the bongos and the new bass guitar and drum tone. I will say I will always love her style of soul with turntablism and electronic production I love it so much it reminds me of my favorite part of rap but with soul. OHJHHH THAT TRANSITION WAS CREAMY. ...And On is sick vibe, It give Jamiroquai which is one of my favorite bands, which makes me guess that she's and acid jazz artist although she's in Motown. She isn't but she is phych soul. Cleva leans hard into the more jazzy part of her music which I personally enjoy a lot. Nice interlude I like. Booty starts with drum stuff, I hope it not about booties. It's not, it's funky as hell tho. It's funny how she refers to another girls man as the n word idk why I find it funny though. The cowbell in this song with the jazzy trumpet is awesome I really like it plus he bongo percussion combines all of this is amazing. Kiss me on my neck is a song I zoned out on, i don't think it compares a lot to the others. Still. a good song though A.D. 2000 comes in with this really cool right left pan that I really like. Orange moon right off the bat makes me feel so calm already I love it it feels magical and the piano and vocals make me feel like your in front of the fireplace in a big comfy chair at night. of course the crickets make you feel like that too. Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Sep 30 2026

A very phychadelic into with and he fods made love that I do like it sends you floating not knowing what to expect. The production is for sure outdated but that doesn't matter that much. Song 2, have you ever been to electric ladyland gives his album a more funk and soul feel while still having a psychedelic feel with the music panning. Ahh crosstown traffic is great. I love this song due to it having the kazoo and it's just great. It has awesome buildup. Next comes the long song of voodoo chile, I will say I love the guitar in this song. Jimis voice has so much emotion in this song it's amazing. Little miss strange sounds like he beatles which caught me super off guard but it's still rips. Long Summer Night opens with a great riff that I personally dig and turns out being a chill dare I say Jimi Hendrix sounds song lol. Come on (let the good times roll) is a little worse imo compared to the earlier songs but you can hear the chuck berry inspiration. I do really like gypsy eyes, it reminds me of Black Betty by Ram Jam with that starting kick. No comment on Burning of the midnight lamp. Rainy day, Dream Away feels just like a jazzy interlude into the second part of the album. Personally, I love interludes so I like it. He makes he guitar talk a bit which is very fun. 1983 feels weird because this album was made in 1968 and yet his album can feel like a album made terribly in 1983 and then he talks about war. This song is very interesting. It talks about how war will lead to Armageddon which I find cool to be talking about in 1963 during Vietnam. I like the intromental at he did till the end of the song. Still Raining, Still Dreaming returns Rainy Day, Dream Away, not as an interlude but a more cohesive song which I adore because it was a really good interlude. House burning down is super groovy and like it a lot (may be one of my favorites off this album). You can sorta see where Sublime got a little of their inspiration off this song. And then the famous Bob Dylan cover of All Along The Watchtower. Probably one of the best songs ever released, I can't even fathom how many people were awaiting this album after it was released as a single. And to end the album the slight return of voodoo child is probably his second most known song. I think it could be one of his best intros to his songs in any of his discograpy although I don't listen to Hendrix much. This albums really awesome and almost perfect I enjoyed it a lot. It really does have that phychadelic feel to it and it feels different from every other album by being polished and clean while Jimi Hendrix makes is sloppy and messy but explodes with energy through it making it all worth it. Id rate it a good 4.7 or 4.8.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica

The start of this album always gives me a sound of like epic somberness that I've always liked. It rips into riffs that are awesome. Personally I've always liked Battery most off this album than anything other song. Let's see if this time I'll find something I like more. I will say I don't like the Battery solo much, it's sorta lackluster in a way. I like the crushing riffs more. The drumming sucks. Ah yes, Title track, who doesn't love Master of puppets. Personally I like the serene part of the song after the fast parts, it just has the coolest vibe and I love it. I just realized how much it's sounds like the Doom theme. I will say this solo is great using Van Halen techniques really giving a more metal van Halen then going into a darker version of the main riff is awesome.
