1001 Albums Summary

Felt like Jimi was trying to make a Beatles tune with "Little Miss Strange" "Rainy Day, Dream Away" sounds like Hendrix and Donald Fagen got high together in a studio. The stereo sweep in Crosstown Traffic is pretty much the de-facto example of stereo panning in my world, but this album reads like someone just discovered the pan knob in some places. (1983...)

I can identify the talent here and I get why this was so popular, but it just wasn't resonating with me when I listened. It was more about me. Would love a recommendation for a situation where I should sit with this album.

Great album. No notes.

I get how this is considered a seminal trip hop album even if the artists don’t like that name. Artfully created. Needs more movement for my taste.
