Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jan 13 2021
The Cars by The Cars
Jul 28 2026

Heard it a million times but it's still catchy and influential.

Suicide by Suicide
Jul 29 2026

Interesting. I can see how it could be so influential at the time. The mellow drone punctuated with manic screams leaves you in a tense meditative trance. Love the last song, Che. Very powerful and somber dirge to close the record.

White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Jul 30 2026

Pretty good. Somehow noisy and catchy at the same time, despite how distant and weird it can initially seem. I can see this one growing on me.

Purple Rain by Prince
Aug 01 2026

Not every song reaches the highs of the classics, but it's still a remarkable album from Prince.

What's That Noise? by Coldcut
Aug 02 2026

Just great! Catchy, groovy, and tons of variety in music and themes. I already love the house music of this era, and this is on another level.

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Aug 03 2026

Not my thing, but very good. Not at all obnoxious as the typical contemporary country we hear today. Maybe a bit too chill and somber, but the song writing is otherwise great.

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Aug 04 2026

Not usually my thing but I've been enjoying it quite a bit. Smooth yet upbeat enough I can work with it and not get drowsy or distracted.

McCartney by Paul McCartney
Aug 05 2026

Good, but far from McCartney's best. What may be intended as something more grounded and organic comes off as a little off-the-cuff and underproduced.

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Aug 06 2026

Very original, though nothing really resonated with me personally.

Sweet Baby James by James Taylor
Aug 07 2026

About what you'd expect if you'd heard James Taylor before. I don't consider myself a fan but I actually really enjoyed it. Good performances and writing.

Picture Book by Simply Red
Aug 09 2026

Great variety of 80s pop and a sort of jazzy sound. Lots of soul and great singing!

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Aug 10 2026

Well this one was utterly fantastic. I was expecting to write it off immediately just based on my personal tastes but the writing, sincerity, emotion and it top-notch stuff.

American Beauty by Grateful Dead
Aug 13 2026

This one didn't do a lot for me, unfortunately.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Aug 15 2026

Subtle, moody and intriguing. This is the kind of Cure I like.

The Stooges by The Stooges
Aug 16 2026

I think some devil's lettuce would greatly enhance the listening experience of this one.

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Aug 17 2026

Surprised I never heard of these guys before. Energetic, original, and fantastic. Up there with the best I've found here so far.

Aug 18 2026

We'll sell you the whole band but you only need The Edge!

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Aug 20 2026

Not a fan of her voice and not a lot of variety here, unfortunately.

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Aug 21 2026

I dig it. Album had a solid flow and variety to it. Some cooler, jazzy moments and folksy rock moments.
