Classic Coldplay sound. Its interesting how much they were going for a more alternative sound in the beginning especially in their first 3 songs. It was a good listen and I'll have to listen to Shiver and Spies one more time because they gave me that airy Coldplay sound that I love to listen to!
Super folky and mellow. I enjoyed the different instrumentation and the dissonances that he incorporated into his music. Looked him up, sad he died at such a young age. But this album was for sure a great listen.

A great listen. I heard a lot of influences from 90s grunge especially Pearl Jam in a good way. Started strong and kinda faded towards the end. Good listen!
So I only listened to about half of the album. What I can say though is that Jess Buckley has an amazing voice and a tone about him that no one else would be able to replicate. A total product of its time in the early-mid 90's and the amazing rendition of Hallelujah.
