Maybe it's the liberal Jewish media. Or the patriarchy. Hell, it could be the lizard people. But, this just isn't my jam. Every song sounds the same to me and it all reminds of Disney princess movies. Or that scene in Clueless when he asks Cher if she likes Billie Holiday, and she says, "I love him". I feel like uncultured swine.
Every song is 2 minutes. Pop perfection. Feels like walking into a smoky bar in the 1950's. Looked at the Wiki page and Elvis didn't write any of these songs. Meat puppet. Forgot how much I liked "Blue Moon".
This album reminds me so much of high school. Whether we were smoking in Trixie and blasting this tape, or smoking in Nick's car and singing Living Loving Maid like some kind of gay, barber shop trio, there was always a good chance we were smoking and listening to Zeppelin II. "Thank You" is what Sam and I danced to at our wedding. And then we smoked and drank beer. Some things never change. All time awesome album.
I've always thought of Pavement as a darker Weezer with Nick O'Grady playing drums. I still think this is true. The problem I run into with their albums is some of the songs are terrible and require skipping. It's a great album, to me, if you can play it all the way through. This leaves something to be desired when I listen to Pavement. Crooked Rain is still my favorite album of theirs. I'll probably revisit this when I'm in the mood for some Pavement.
Man, I fucking hate the Eagles. Even their hits have worn on me. "Take the Devil" caught my attention. But, the lyrics on this song, as well as the others, are bad. I was really surprised at how much the lyrics let me down.

I like the music. The vocals turn me off. Blueprint is good.
This is the kind of stuff I wanted to find doing this. I'm a slut for slide guitar. Album cover sucks. Songs are great.
I thought this was going to be a mariachi band, but then I realized it was "L.A" Woman, not "La" Woman. L.A. Woman is my favorite Doors song. Hyacinth House is a hidden gem.

Not horrible. It opens with a tie fighter fly by. Sounds like 1996 in a time capsule. Sounds like these songs should be in Euro Trip or some other teen movie. It's a poor man's Space Hog. "I'd Give You Anything" is a nice riff.
I know that I would hate most artists/bands if I met them, but I would fucking hate these guys if I ever met them. This is Coldplay, just gayer. If Radiohead did soft rock, this would be it. It comes off as pretentious and fake. This is one of those bands that talks about drinking and fighting, but consists of sober pacifists. Wilco has a song or two on each album that I skip. This album is all of those songs.
It reminded me of a high school band. I get why they are in the Pantheon of Rock, but the musicianship is lacking for my taste.
I didn't get a chance to listen again, but I really enjoy Girls, Izzo, and Heart of the City. This is back when Kanye was a producer, and not as crazy. I like that Kanye.

Never heard of this band. Probably because I'm not into electro-punk. I can see how this influenced bands, but this reminds me of when Danny gets stoned and messes around with a keyboard. Danny's electro song is called "Cristal Ship" and I have it on my iTunes if anyone wants to listen. It's trash. Just like this album.
It feels like a "Now That's What I Call Music From Commercials" album in some places. I want to like this more than I do. I hope to revisit it at some point. But doubt it.
I'm a fan. This music should be in every teen movie. Quintessential garage rock. "Slick" is good.

Very 70's sounding. Reminded me of porn in some places. I rarely listen to these Bowie tunes so it was surprising to hear them again. This isn't my favorite stuff from him.
At first, I loved the music and hated the vocals and lyrics. As the album went on, it grew on me. I really enjoyed this by the end of it. "Hotel" is fun. This was a pleasant surprise. Listening to it made me think these guys had a lot of fun making this album.
I listened to the first half of the album. I like her voice, and some of the songs were in my head later. I listen to most of my music now sitting on the back porch crushing beers. Emmylou Harris is not what I want to listen to when I'm getting after it. But, I appreciate it.

If this doesn't get you bobbing your head, you're wrong. I read the Wikipedia and "Run Charlie Run" is really interesting. A song about white flight is not something I expected. Plus, the band thought this album was going to flop. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I really liked this album. The vocals sometimes turned me off, but I got a Doors vibe with some of the spoken lyrics. The music took it over the top for me. Pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this. Made me feel like an angsty teen. Great shirt.
Great background music. Not my jam, but it's a lot of fun. If I hosted dinner parties, I would be all over this.
I really liked this. Great background music for beer drinking. It was a mix of Wilco and Radiohead to me. I will be listening to this again.
I did not take a deep dive into this album. It was not what I expected. Had some rocking tunes but nothing stood out. They have an album cover with boobs on it, so that's something.
Nothing but bangers to open up. This reminds me of going to the beach as a kid. I think it was on The Fox a lot and Kath had it blasting as I was about to shred some waves with my boogie board. The back half of the album drags until One World. Then it gets hard 80's. Then back to music that makes me think of the sex scene from Top Gun. Gimme the first three tracks and I'm good. The song Brothers in Arms doesn't do it for me.
Man, I just don't like REM. Never have. Moral Kiosk is fun. 9-9 is enjoyable. A lot of the songs sound the same to me. I think I hate Michael Stipe. He reminds me of a weird elementary school art teacher. His voice comes off as condescending. I would give this a 1, but I don't want Stipe to give me detention.
This sounds like a movie soundtrack to me. Ocean's 11 montages just flying around. Not my jam and I won't revisit this.
This reminds me of something a middle school jazz band would play. At the same time, I feel like to should be drinking whiskey at work. If someone came over and I put this on, I would want to punch me in the face.
