Butterfly by Mariah Carey

More whining and oooOOoOooOoos than words.

The Stranger by Billy Joel

Hit after hit, it's almost a cliche.

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Feb 18 2021

Perfect for a Sunday-afternoon listen. Find it on vinyl if you can.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Mar 15 2021
Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Mar 29 2021

Disjointed, but true to the band's personality.

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Apr 09 2021

Foreign yet familiar. Chill but lively. Music imitating life, or is it the other way around?

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Apr 12 2021

Proggy but disjointed(?). I appreciate the album's merit, but it's not for my ears.

Arrival by ABBA
Apr 13 2021

Bright, fun, quintessential Abba.

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Apr 20 2021

Grrrrrrl power!

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Apr 22 2021

Hit after hit, it's almost a cliche.

Butterfly by Mariah Carey
May 14 2021

More whining and oooOOoOooOoos than words.

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
May 19 2021

Mixed feelings about this one. It's so clearly a master at work, collaborating with other superstars. Yet this album has somehow failed to draw me in. I'd be into it in one moment, then it would fade to background music the next.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
May 25 2021

Excellent instrumentation and some really fun tracks. Vocals aren't my cup of tea, though.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
May 26 2021

I think I might've liked this album more if I was in a different mood, or still in my 20s.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jun 07 2021

This is so extra, but in a good way.

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Jun 11 2021

It took me a minute, but I was really into this one.
