Popular Reviews

Abbey Road by Beatles

Really great music. Can't knock the Beatles - good production, good cover art, good musicality, good depth of emotion/lyricism. Love it.

The White Album by Beatles
Jul 05 2021

I can tell it's objectively good - but it's still not my favorite music I've heard!

Wild Gift by X
Jul 08 2021

I thought this one was aight. Didn't jump out at me though!

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake by Small Faces
Jul 09 2021

Was a bit weird, but near the end there were these stories that I really liked hearing! The diction and rhetoric they used were crazy and it seemed to have some flow but I didn't track it all that well. I'll have to listen again to understand!

Emperor Tomato Ketchup by Stereolab
Jul 12 2021

I really liked this one! Groovy and it had some interesting musicality in it. :)

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Jul 13 2021

I could tell it had some musical potential, but the lyrics were really simplistic and I already don't love country to start with. Would put 3.5 if I could!

Ten by Pearl Jam
Jul 14 2021

Not my type of music necessarily but I see the appeal!

Snivilisation by Orbital
Jul 15 2021

Definitely eclectic but I liked it a lot! Thought about going with 5 but there really aren't any lyrics so it's not stimulating in that way. Really good musicality!

Lazer Guided Melodies by Spiritualized
Jul 19 2021

I liked this a lot! The album name suits the sound. Overall it just calms your mind very well, I didn't really listen to the lyrics but they seemed to match the music!

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Jul 20 2021

Really good!! Very complex and deep/thoughtful!

Abbey Road by Beatles
Jul 21 2021

Really great music. Can't knock the Beatles - good production, good cover art, good musicality, good depth of emotion/lyricism. Love it.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Jul 22 2021

Really good!! I think if I listen to it more I'll grow to love it!

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Jul 26 2021

I see the appeal, but this wasn't necessarily for me! The wild piano strokes came off as melodically (is that a word?) a bit weird, but I see how they contribute to the sound/genre!

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jul 27 2021

Didn't love. Lyrics were weird and simplistic at times, plus the music itself didn't seem to match the tone of the words (but not in an ironic/interesting way). I didn't listen to the whole thing so maybe not a clean break but not for me.

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Jul 28 2021

Excellent on all accounts. A bold musical experiment that was very successful! The first song being 20min long surprised me but I didn't even mind because it was so intricate and clearly told a story. Interesting song titles and good lyrics :)

Jul 29 2021

This was good! But not a lot of lyrics. It was weird in a cool sort of way but not emotionally gripping or anything.

Da Capo by Love
Jul 30 2021

Very eclectic but some cool sounds/grooves :)

Brown Sugar by D'Angelo
Aug 02 2021

I liked this one! Not that complicated lyrically but for what it is, it's beautiful :)

The Slider by T. Rex
Aug 03 2021

Not my type but I see the appeal as usual!

Disintegration by The Cure
Aug 04 2021

Like many others said, this album is objectively good! It's just a little hard to get into as an adult. Definitely a little on the slow/depressing side which can be done well - and they do mostly, but not my favorite genre I suppose! I really think there might also be a generational gap on this one.

Solid Air by John Martyn
Sep 01 2021

Big fan of this one!! Bring more like this!

Palo Congo by Sabu
Sep 02 2021

Big fan!! ONLY four because I don't know Spanish that well. Such good music production/lighthearted tunes.

The Poet by Bobby Womack
Sep 03 2021

This was aight! Good sounding but didn't hold my attention really.
