Mediocre at best, not a slog but definitely not great
Lacks any sort of substance in the lyrics, mostly just repeating the same words over and over. Chorus in most songs is just a phrase repeated.
The only Jazz album I've ever listened to. Not bad for background noise, but I doubt I'll be buying tickets to a jazz show anytime soon.
Very early 2000's, I think I can hear the Snoop influences and the East Coast origins.
A slower softer listen than I was expecting with some very experimental sections. Favorite song was probably Sunday Morning.
More instrumentals than I would have thought. Probably provocative for it's time but I've heard more provocative music in my life.
Alternates between slow folk songs about sadness and love and songs that sound kind of like throwing instruments down the stairs, but not in a bad way.
Not a huge fan, can definitely tell they are trying to compete with the Beatles, who I do not like, so the style of music is not tripping my trigger.
Would dance to it in the club.
Would have rather it been all instrumental. The massive amount of repetitive phrases was annoying, especially the last song.
Not bad, catchy and got a nice groove.
Probably the first albums of this challenge that I actually enjoyed. Rating: Sick Guitar Riffs/10
Doesn't have any of the well known Beach Boys songs on it but still enjoyable. Look like a bunch of nerds on the cover.
Very 80s, not a bad thing just definitely embodies the sound of that decade.
I'm not enjoying this, not really even as background.
Typical sounding punk sound.
Can see how they influence bands like The Eagles who also had that Country Rock sound.
Almost every single song on this album is too long. A slog to get through. Also let's play a harmonica full blast into the mic.
Kind of samey, not super enjoyable.
Definition one hit wonder
No idea why this is on the list
I understand this was a game changing album it just isn't really for me.
Hope no one was expecting lyrical depth
I have no opinion on this other than it doesn't really trip my trigger.
I can tell why The B-52s didn't have more success.
Get's an extra star because of the JoJo's song
Aside from the sad girl vibe, pretty good.
It's got the Shrek song on it, extra star.
Fine, mostly instrumentals so not a huge fan.
Why does every band from the 80s sing in the same way.
Very 70s, fine not bad or anything.
This is the reason they are one of the formative girl groups of the 90s
I guess maybe I had an incorrect assumption about Black Sabbath but this is not very hard at all.
Had only heard Hurt and I Hang My Head before today. Not as somber as the album art would make you think. Desperado and Tear Stained Letter were my favorites.
Songs were too long and not upbeat enough for my taste. Although, I did learn where that song that's used in so many commercials comes from, so that's nice.
Not for me. Songs too long and too sparse of lyrics.
