Popular Reviews

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse

I didn't expect to like this album because of Neil Young's vocals, but I liked how he sounds on this album much more than a project like "Harvest". The songs are very catchy and it's a super fun alubm.

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

Really good album. Lots of awesome instrumentals and the vocals pair really perfectly to create a fantastical, ethereal experience. Love it.

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Sep 09 2021

First day of 1001albums, so it started off great. Tons of bangers on here, definitely enjoyed the whole thing.

Berlin by Lou Reed
Sep 10 2021

Great album. Seems very maximalist and I love the vocals and instrumentals. It had aged beautifully and sounds like it could’ve come out in the past decade.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Sep 12 2021

It had a lot of great songs, but it just is far too long for what it offers. The vocals, though good, can be a bit much for me after about an hour of listening. Definitely more good than bad though.

Low by David Bowie
Sep 13 2021

Great album with awesome instrumentals, it’s clear this album has tons of artistic merit. As good as it is, I don’t see myself coming back to listen to it for fun very often, but still a good listen.

Harvest by Neil Young
Sep 14 2021

Decent album, but Neil Young's voice is really just not my favorite thing. Great guitar playing, but only a couple songs I'd see myself coming back to.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Sep 15 2021

One of the best albums of all time. Every song is masterfully put together and both the vocals, instrumentals, and storytelling are immaculate

Murder Ballads by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Sep 16 2021

I like the idea of this album and had a good time listening to it. The songwriting style gets a little repetitive, but overall a good listen. I don’t think it’s something I’d put on frequently though, it’s just a little too out there for me to listen to much.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Sep 17 2021

Has some really awesome instrumentals and vocals. One of the most fun albums I’ve listened to in a while, I’ll definitely throw this on to get hyped in the future.

The Clash by The Clash
Sep 18 2021

Great classic punk album. Tons of bangers, and I can totally see how this group influenced the future of punk.

New Boots And Panties by Ian Dury
Sep 19 2021

I’ve never heard of this artist before, but they have some really cool instrumentals and the vocals match up perfectly for some very catchy songs.

Everything Must Go by Manic Street Preachers
Sep 20 2021

Good album, very clear how sounds like these influenced 2000s punk. I like it quite a bit, but mostly for its influence.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Sep 21 2021

This album was excellent. Green’s voice is great and the whole album is terrifically soulful and an amazing listen. Nice and concise as well

Honky Tonk Heroes by Waylon Jennings
Sep 23 2021

This album is so great. Waylon pioneers country music in this album, and the vocal and instrumental performances are amazing. The songwriting is great and has tons of catchy stuff, and I will likely listen to this album several more times.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Sep 24 2021

This is not the type of album I usually like, but it kept me well entertained the whole time. I like the overall vibe

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Sep 25 2021

This album is hugely impressive, obviously influential, and overall very fun to listen to. I’m not a huge fan of Axl’s vocals, but this is still a great album

Sep 26 2021

This album has some super catchy songs and great punk vibes. Exactly the type of sound I love from punk music, and obviously influential.

Hysteria by Def Leppard
Sep 28 2021

I came into this album with pretty low expectations, and they were very much blown away. It really feels like an album that defines an era and a genre. It's an incredibly fun listen with very memorable and catchy songs. Sometimes simple is just more fun.

Black Monk Time by The Monks
Sep 29 2021

This album was really cool and so before it’s time. One of the gems this site has given me. This record is just very fun in general

Trafalgar by Bee Gees
Sep 30 2021

This album surprised me, as I had only heard stayin alive before. Overall a solid listen but nothing really grabbed my attention.

Let It Be by The Replacements
Oct 01 2021

Pretty good album, but it mostly felt very similar to a lot of other punk rock records in the 80s. Nothing too crazy, but overall solid.

Killing Joke by Killing Joke
Oct 13 2021

Pretty good album. Some really catchy songs and very ahead of its time.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Oct 14 2021

This album has great production and instrumentals. The songs are truly beautiful. The vocals aren’t exactly my favorite, but still complement the songs well.

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar
Oct 15 2021

This album was cool, but it’s just not something I see myself coming back to frequently

Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals

Really solid album with very cool instrumentals and themes. Lots of fun and catchy songs

Play by Moby
Oct 18 2021

This album was awesome. Super great guitar parts and super creative songs and vocals. Incredibly iconic.

This album is extremely enjoyable and the messages in the songs are powerful. The instrumentals and vocals are simple yet incredibly effective

Pretty good album, I love the classical twist at the end of it. Lots of fun instrumentals

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Oct 24 2021

I didn't expect to like this album because of Neil Young's vocals, but I liked how he sounds on this album much more than a project like "Harvest". The songs are very catchy and it's a super fun alubm.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Oct 25 2021

This album to me suffers from its own reputation. I think it’s a good album, but it gets hyped up as one of the best of all time, which I don’t quite understand. Still very good, just not my favorite I suppose

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Nov 03 2021

Really good album. Lots of awesome instrumentals and the vocals pair really perfectly to create a fantastical, ethereal experience. Love it.

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Nov 04 2021

I really liked the vocals and overall atmosphere this album creates. It’s very impressive

Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Nov 05 2021

This album is good, it’s just a little too long and instrumental focused to be an attention-grabbing album to me. Totally understandable as a movie soundtrack, and still pretty enjoyable

Rum Sodomy & The Lash by The Pogues
Aug 23 2022

This album was really good. Loved the Irish folk music and a really enjoyable listen.

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Aug 24 2022

Liked this one a lot, has some really great songs. Just a little slow at times for me

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Aug 26 2022
Feb 28 2026

The most iconic southern rock album of all time. Not a single miss. One of the best songs ever made is on here, and I could be talking about 3 or 4 of them.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Mar 01 2026

Woulda been 3 stars without band on the run

Mar 02 2026

The only song I knew on this album going in ended up being like the worst one.
