Rock Bottom
Robert WyattWell this was wild. Really cool experience. I should check this out again at some point.

Enjoyed this a lot more than expected. ‘Perfection’ was particularly cool.
I haven’t given this a listen in a while and this was a good opportunity to do so. Love side A, side B kinda drags for me. Honestly I don’t like this as much as Darkness on the Edge of Town.
Not at all what I was expecting and actually super enjoyable. I think people that like Glassjaw like this band. Where the fuck have I been? Surprise You’re Dead was kinda lame but otherwise I kind of enjoyed listening to this.
Been a minute since I listened to this. Solid rock record through and through, with plenty of experimentation (off time shit, odd tunings) to keep things interesting. I dunno how much I care about Chris Cornell as a vocalist but the music’s cool.
I historically have never given a fuck about Eric Clapton. Initially I thought this album was kinda soft, which is kinda funny now that I know that this album is mostly covers. He’s a fine guitar player and the musicians on this are solid, but it feels puddle deep. I guess I’m glad that I had the opportunity to hear this just to say I’ve heard it, but I doubt I’ll revisit this at any point.
It sounds like Mazzy Star meets Portishead. I listened twice and got bored both times. Probably will not revisit this.
Eh. The music’s cool but the singer sounds like he’s trying to channel Thom Yorke, Morrissey, and Chris Martin simultaneously and not in a compelling way. Blah.
This is what I’ve been waiting for, something wild and different. Great rhythms, an actual message, and kinetic intensity. Hell yeah.
Eh. Like a way less compelling Deadmau5. I could live with never hearing this again.
The second best Cure album after Disintegration. Fight me.
You know, I hated the opening few songs so much that I never listened to the rest of this album and it gets progressively better as it goes. So that’s kinda cool. Better than I ever gave it credit for.
I’ve never listened to this before. It’s cool, but I still haven’t found a way to care about hip hop. Maybe someday.
I’ve never heard this before. Country isn’t usually my thing but this was very enjoyable. Glad my horizons were expanded a little.

Classic, but so dark.
Eh.
It’s fine, just too fucking long.
I can’t get into ES. Oh well.
Like Radiohead but with more piano. Got better as it went but I’ll probably never listen to this again.
Classic, and just in time for Halloween.
Eh.
I didn’t know I knew these songs.
Obviously. Outside of the single this kinda sucks.
