Elvis the rhinestone years. Actually I like this period in his music although he does have a penchant for the melancholy.
If I could only listen to one artist for the rest of my life Ella Fitzgerald would be way up in the running. I discovered her music as a teenager & she’s seen me through the good & the bad for 40+ years. The combination of Fitzgerald’s voice & the music of Gershwin is what Sunday afternoons were made for. Just stunning.
I grew up with the Jam but didn’t really appreciate them when I was younger. Listening to them again I realise how good they were. This album’s definitely going into my saved list.
I couldn’t listen to more than a couple of tracks. Fiona Apple has a great voice but the constant singing out of tune really grated on me. Definitely not going on my favourites list!
I didn’t know what to expect from this album but I loved it!
