Top Picks: Here, There and Everywhere & Good Day Sunshine.
Top Pick: Crying This one wasn't really my jam, only listened to the first half. I enjoyed the instrumentation of a couple tunes and the backing band were pretty tight but I didn't really dig the singer's vibe.
Top Picks: Mellow My Mind and New Mama I quite liked this one. Having listened to a lot of Neil's acoustic stuff, it was cool hearing something a bit more evolved. Having said that, the overall vibe was a bit samey. Aside from New Mama (which was a real breath of fresh air) I found most of these tunes melted together.
Top picks: Two Weeks and Fine For Now. Really liked this one, reminded me of Glass Animals with slightly less production value. Vocal harmonies in particular were gorgeous. 4 stars for sure
Top Picks: At The Chime Of A City Clock & Poor Boy. Quite enjoyed this one. Kind of John Martyn-esque, but a slightly more hippy vibe. Some of the tunes were fairly samey, but overall it was a pretty chill album to sit and listen to for an hour.
Top Picks: Pyramids and Sweet Life. Not a huge fan of this one. Some cool drum and bass stuff going on but for the most part, not really my jam.
Top Picks: Have a Heart and I Will Not Be Denied It was alright. I'm not normally too big on 80s ballads and unfortunately this was no exception.
Top Picks: Clean & Battlestar Scralatchtica Was a fan of Drive already, so I was excited to hear the rest of the album. Not bad, kinda reminds me of Blood Sugar Sex Magic, but not as many catchy tunes and maybe a bit too nu-metal for my taste.
Top Picks: Silver Dagger and House of the Rising Sun. Really liked this one! Obviously very Dylan-esque. Some really nice songs on here and due to the recording techniques used, it managed to capture studio sound with a very live, authentic feel.
Top picks: Cult of Personality and Desperate People. Didn't listen to the whole thing, but I liked the first half well enough.
Top Picks: Solid Air and I Don't Wanna Know. Love love love this album! one of my all time favourites. First 5 stars I've given
Top Picks: Show Some Respect and I Can't Stand The Rain. Skipped the second half of this album, kinda got the measure of it after 7 or 8 tracks. Not a bad listen, but not something i'd really seek out myself.
