Popular Reviews

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys

Great album upto and including "get it together". After that song, not so much. It meanders on a bit. 5 stars first half 1 star second half

Hard Again by Muddy Waters

Great artist, great album. Must hear if you're a blues lover. But really one everyone should listen. Starts off with THE definitive blues track and goes on from there.

Abbey Road by Beatles

I find it a very boring album. I couldn't compel myself to finish listening.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Dec 16 2021

Great album upto and including "get it together". After that song, not so much. It meanders on a bit. 5 stars first half 1 star second half

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Dec 21 2021

Liked the previous Metallica albums more, because I'm more of a trash metal fan, but certainly a couple of great songs on this album

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Dec 24 2021

Vaguely heard of this band, never heard a song before. Very intriguing music, especially for the time. Some songs are much better than others, liked the very first song the most. Overall an interesting album. That first song is really really really good!

For Your Pleasure by Roxy Music
Dec 31 2021

Nice album, easy to listen to songs. Bit short, but that's the norm for that time period.

Make Yourself by Incubus
Jan 13 2022

Not really into incubus, decent album though. Couple of nice songs but also some really meandering ones.

The Sensual World by Kate Bush
Jan 14 2022

Kate Bush is my guilty pleasure, however just based on her hits. Never took the time to listen to albums let alone this one. The album is great, the songs really flow together with the indistinguishable voice of Kate of course.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Jan 17 2022

Great artist, great album. Must hear if you're a blues lover. But really one everyone should listen. Starts off with THE definitive blues track and goes on from there.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Jan 18 2022

Not really my cup of tea. I don't find the songs to be anything special

Abbey Road by Beatles
Jan 20 2022

I find it a very boring album. I couldn't compel myself to finish listening.

Spotify couldn't play this album for me, glanced over it on YouTube but what the hell was this supposed to be?? Terrible, messy and just plain grating to listen to.

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Jan 24 2022

What a great album, so many good songs, so many hits. Very enjoyable to listen too.

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Jan 25 2022

What a nice album, never extensively listened to Coltrane, but this was excellent. Really smooth.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Jan 26 2022

I don't like this music genre at all and this album is pretty exemplary for that genre.

Jan 27 2022

For me a typical britpop record, some uptempo songs which are nice and some whiney ballads. I like other blur albums better

Time (The Revelator) by Gillian Welch
Jan 28 2022

I don't like this album at all. Country music is not my genre and while I can appreciate the vocal quality of Gillian something about her voice or tone of voice just doesn't click for me making this a double negative.

Soul Mining by The The
Jan 31 2022

Never heard of the band before. The type of music is right down my alley, I really like 80's synthpop and this album is a nice example of the genre. Outspoken basslines and off course the synth. Easy to listen to and very enjoyable.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Feb 01 2022

Nice album, decent songs, nothing spectacular. Just fine.

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Feb 03 2022

Great album, great singer, great songs.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Feb 04 2022

I really don't like music played with an acoustic guitar and this is a very exemplary record of that kind of music. It's not bad, after all it's Paul Simon, but not really my cup of tea. The blues tracks on the album, sonically, sound pretty good, but Paul's voice just isn't fit for blues, at least not for my ears. So yeah it's fine, but not really for me
