Marianne FaithfullI enjoyed this and admire her place as a cultural icon. Not a stand out album for me.

Fantastic. Really enjoyed revisiting this one. Innovative, full of energy. Bjork is a one-off and I love her!
This was a great listen. Full of energy: poetic, politically-charged lyrics, bouncing bass-dominated rhythms, a cacophony of percussion, noodling electric guitar: it sounds like it was recorded in a party house in Brooklyn back in the day.
Wow! Loved listening to this. Recorded in 1967, this is way ahead of its time. A glorious album that is truly experimental . The guitar is the star and I can hear how his inimitable style has influenced so much music after this. Great album.
Atmospheric, introspective, experimental. Just love it. I have pretty much listened to Folklore and Evermore since they came out. Soundtracks of the pandemic for me.
A great listen to the debut album from Coldplay which is a band that has maybe surprisingly endured in popularity for twenty years. You can hear the fresh energy of the band as they created their own soundworld consisting of driving (sometimes disjointed) rhythms, understated instrumentals, complemented by the unique, emotive quality of Chris Martin’s voice. A very impressive first album from a great band for the new Millennium. Yellow, surely must be one of the most loved songs of the 21st century. My favourite song is Sparks. The harmony does it for me alongside the pleading tone of Chris’ voice. Made me nostalgic listening.

Had not listened to this one for years and it really is interesting. Experimental but accomplished. You can hear the pain of life in the women’s vocals. Interesting juxtapositions of styles. It is not the easiest to listen to but a great album.

Enjoyed this. Smooth jazzy vibes with a but of rock thrown in. Can hear the influence of Nick Drake in the vocals.
Very of its time: pained grunge vocals with grand strings, melodramatic songs. I love they way they have all-out gone for it. Very good songwriting and production, this album absolutely deserves its place in rock history.
Wonderfully reminiscent album for me. So unique, inimitable sounds.Andy Warhol did good creating the VU
Not my usual thing but enjoyed the sounds. Quite hypnotic and well produced.
Has to be in the top ten greatest albums of all time. Just fantastic on every level. Really enjoyed revisiting it. 😀
I was fourteen when this came out and was too cool listening to Pink Floyd in my Led Zeppelin t shirt to give it the time of day. Of course I knew some of the songs but listening to the album was a joy. Clubby, dancey and a pivotal statement in Gay culture. I love it!
Never heard this one before but brilliantly produced. I can hear the artistic vision behind this and can clearly see how this has influenced the rap genre.
You can hear that Elvis is tired in this album and his voice is not what it used to be but my goodness you can ferl the emotion in these songs. Great arrangements, superb gospel vibes in the album and great Hammond organ solos. Really loved this. Elvis is arguably the most influential popular music icon of the 20th century and he certainly reigns as The King here.
Did not know what to expect with this one. I inly knew Mr Tambourine Man by The Byrds. This was very good. Slick Americana. 😀
A good listen and much more variety in it than I was expecting. Thought it was just electronica but a great mix of instruments too.
Never been into Kraftwerk so was not expecting to enjoy this. Of course this was a pioneering time for electronic music and I see this albums place in history but a lot of it sounds like sub-minimalism to me. See what Steve Reich was doing way before this! I did enjoy the title track but not really my bag.

Iconic album. Has to be in the top ten.
Why sing one note when you can sing 5? Sorry painful listening for me.
Iconic! Remember dancing around to this back in the day. Saw him live at Latitude a few years agonand he was smokin’ hot! Love it!
Enjoyed this much more than I thought I would
Just love this. KD Lang has the most beautiful, expressive voice nd just glides through these gorgeous songs. Wonderful
Fantastic. Took me right back to listening over and over in my student accommodation.
Great album. Brilliant musicianship and real style.
Fantastic. Rock n roll at its best.
Really enjoyed this. Ozzy is a total lefend and this is guitar riff heaven. Love it.
Historic album and great style. I can’t hrp thinking you needed to hear thus man live to fully appreciate him!
