Please stop making me listen to this awful drivel

Really, really tried to like this but I just can’t. Feel like Bowie remains one of those people who are universally regarded as amazing but just totally lost on me.

Couldn’t work it out. Some magical moments mixed with turgid waffle. Glad I’ve heard it but wouldn’t go back in a hurry.

Lovely to listen back to. Properly classic

Some classic tracks but one of those albums I always wonder when I’d actually choose to put it on.

Much more enjoyable than the earlier one for me. Sometimes mainstream just ticks the boxes 👍

Never got them and never will. Hugely overrated in my opinion.

Great album - I’d forgotten just how good a songwriter he is. Really enjoyed revisiting this.

Can’t work it out. I kinda really admire it and it’s properly uplifting but I just can’t ever imagine choosing to listen to it again. It’s the exact reason why I thought Id do this though as have never come across it previously!

I can think of 1001 albums that should be on this list instead of this one. Saved from one star due to memories of belting out Angels in karaoke 20 years ago.

Some fabulous tracks here. Hard to believe that he crammed so many into one album. Amazingly even the non ‘hits’ are good. Baby be mine is a highlight. Seriously good stuff.

So many tracks I’ve enjoyed off this before but had never heard the whole album. Still stands up as a great summer album

It’s an album I’ve tried to love for a long time. It’s got some great memories in places, but for the most part it still just sounds like a hell of a racket to me. I want to like it more than I actually do

A very rare genuine 5star album. Barely puts a foot wrong at any stage. Absolutely cracking stuff - I just can’t work out whether if forced to choose one of his id have this or Tunnel of love

Fabulous album. Still stands up to scrutiny now and a joy to listen to. What a voice

Really enjoyed this. Hard not to imagine you’re somewhere sunny and having a great time when this plays. Not sure id sit and actively listen to it but as music to have in the background - winner

Still convinced this is some sort of joke that only I don’t get. So many better storytellers, so many better songwriters, so many better singers. I don’t even understand why the band stuck around to make it.

Started off ok but just trudged along. Not my bag

Some nice tracks but all just felt a bit lacklustre to me.

Just don’t get Bowie. Have tried and tried to listen to him but it’s just not as good as everyone thinks it is IMO. Some alright tracks but uninspiring stuff tbh.

I get it, I don’t mind it, I can appreciate that it was pretty groundbreaking. There are a whole lot of hip hop albums that I’d listen to first though

Never really got new wave stuff and this just does nothing for me.
