1001 Albums Summary

4/5 Reminds me of the Killers sound. Nice mix of clean guitar and complex synth sounds. Modern Man has interesting 4/4 + 5/4 switch up throughout.

3/5 Reminds me of Violent Soho with more substance.

3/5 Blues/Rock and Roll. Short album that packs plenty of variety whilst still staying true to the genre. Plenty of subtle Rhodes organ throughout. Vocals feel very fresh from song to song due to singers wide variety. Rocking Around (with you) vocals are heavily reminiscent of the Beatles, where as American girl has obvious punk influences.

2/5 This is the first jazz album I've ever listened to and it must be an acquired taste, because I really didn't enjoy it. Jarring and anxiety inducing. I feel bad giving it two stars, but I hope that later on I can appreciate it for what it is and give it a higher rating that I'm sure it deserves.

3/5 Sounds like it was at least 10 years ahead of its. Interesting to listen to in that respect, but otherwise not amazing. Really lacked any sort of dynamic, probably due to when it was recorded.
