PJ HarveySublime and classic.
Sublime and classic.
Dark brooding and frankly a little scary. But recommended
Unexpected funk - a treat for the ears
A classic. Everyone knows this. A gem of perfectly captured talent that is bittersweet as we wanted more , and that’s never going to happen
Captures the zeitgeist of the time as well as teenage angst and melancholy yearning for something better and fulfilling.
One of the best albums ever. Listen to it all the time. Driving, working, reading, sitting in a dark room with headphones. I used a quadrophonic mix to test out a surround sound system. All time favourite.
Pounding and creative. A real manifesto for this collective
Dank , dreary and depressing. A solo exploration of what it was like to be of an age where the crushing realisation of responsibility was approaching. Not my thing but appreciated the fragile beauty of the melodies.

Sublime and classic.
Not my kind of thing, found it trite, by the numbers but well sung
Not my thing - sounded decent rhough
Beautiful album - it has wit, agression, inventive use of rhyme and samples. Excellent
Disco - smooth mix of Uptempo grooves and low tempo slow dancing love songs
Dark brooding and frankly a little scary. But recommended
Don’t care for this albumsmusic but the supporting videos are very interesting
Unexpected funk - a treat for the ears
Beautiful and sublime. Epic
Classic , dark and brooding , part of the fine run of excellent albums Sabbath did in this period that didn’t really sip in quality until maybe after Sabbath bloody sabbath
Funky and creative - another fine collection of grooves that make you consider life at the same time
A beautiful debut, and an album worth exploring over and over again
A pop classic of it’s time- not For me , but I recall a lot of my friends loved this album.
Beautiful
Slightly patchy but still articulate and deep pop electronic influenced melancholy
Best live rock and roll album ever made. Made the bands reputation rock solid. ( no pun intended)
