1001 Albums Summary

I enjoyed this one, this was my first album since signing up. Rumours was the only Fleetwood Mac I'd heard and I probably still prefer it but this was a solid album. Easy to listen to with enough variety throughout, I'll likely come back to it again. Favourite song was Tusk. Also I was surprised that this was already Fleetwood Mac's 12th album, hadn't realised they were that old and made that much music. 4/5

Take this with a grain of salt as I was listening to it on the train and fell asleep for a decent chunk. But for me aside from a couple classics all the songs do kinda... blur together. It's ok but I'm unlikely to think of this album if I'm looking for some to rock to listen to and maybe if it was more interesting I wouldn't have fallen asleep. Favourite songs are beetlebum and song 2 which is by far their biggest hit and for good reason.

This was a unique album, I didn't know anything about the stooges and was surprised that 1973 could be that aggressive. I could see this being useful if you're struggling in the gym or something, it's like a big kick up the ass, all raw power and energy. But for me, it's probably a bit much, a little too raw and by the end I was grateful that it was only half an hour. It's an interesting one, but I don't think I can go higher than 3 because it's not an album I'm likely to come back to. Favourite track is gimme danger

Look I was tired, hungry and just wanted to go home. All those weird psychedelic little sounds just weren't hitting right at all. Not really my thing and none of the songs really stood out to me (in a good way)

Lots of bangers, definitely need to explore more metal after this. It really fits a certain mood when your just angry and want to escape from the world. Favourite song: enter sandman, fantastic song especially that start

Standard country album really. Luckily I was in the mood for it, but I have to say by the time hold on to god came on I was glad this was only just over half an hour. Makes a nice mix up from the continuous rock albums though
