Pretty good, probably not the right day/mood for it. Bit samey and low energy for me atm, would probably love it in the right circumstances though, will need to try it again. 3.5 stars
Title track is an all time banger, album maintains a nonstop frenetic pace. It does suffer from the typical acdc problem that everything sounds a bit samey, can feel a bit one note at times but it sure is one hell of a note.
I can appreciate the high energy and recognise its a big influence on many artists that came after, but I cant say id listen to it again anytime soon. Probably suffers from the Seinfeld effect, in that its such a substantial influence that it almost sounds generic when removed from a contemporary perspective.
Liked this more than I expected tbh, swanky jazz vibes hit different on a Sunday arvo
Awesome big band jazz, will have to check this out again sometime.
Few solid tracks on here, overall not really my scene though
I know a fair few of Dylan's classics, but have never really taken the time to sit down and listen to any of his full albums, so I was pretty keen when this came up and boy did it deliver. Really not a bad track on here, with a few absolute classics, just a fun and lively album from start to finish.
Tough one to rate, this album has some really high highs but also a few pretty underwhelming tracks (that second track just goes on and on). Season of the Witch is such a banger though and is so well placed that it honestly elevates the whole thing. Overall I like the relaxing nostalgic psych vibes on this, so 4 stars
Honestly not for me, at least not atm. Was listening at work and probably couldn't appreciate the lyrics enough, and the melancholic folky spoken poetry thing just didn't work for me. Having just listened to an amazing Dylan album earlier in the week it felt like a similar (albeit much sadder) vibe but without any of the energy or spark
Started strong but didn't blow me away
Really enjoyed this, soulful and pretty smooth at times. Unpredictable but not overbearing, and overall a very modern feel after a stretch of listening to a few older folk albums
Yeah not really for me, To Be Young is a banger but the rest of it was a bit too down/moody for where I was at.
Doyoufeeeel. Consistent throughout with a few bangers sprinkled in
Pretty cool jam album, live albums aren't really my thing but these guys did go pretty hard. Few tracks went on a bit long. Smoke on the water is an all time classic, was great hearing a live version
Really enjoyed this, nice mix of poppy new wave and a synthy punk vibe, will definitely check this out again sometime.
Decent, might improve on relistens, but my initial take is that a lot of these tracks just feel like a long intro for La Grange at times. La Grange slaps so hard it bumped the rating up a star though
A clear and easy 5, what a fantastic album. I'd never sat down and listened to this in full before, but was pretty familiar with most tracks on this, and the ones I hadn't heard still impressed. Several all-time folk bangers on here, definite classic.
I really liked this one, never listened to the YYYs before so didn't know what to expect. Good energy throughout with an unexpectedly moody tone shift for the finish. All around solid, will definitely listen again
