This has been such a tough one to get through. I don't know if they were aiming for being funny, but I personally cannot find enjoyment in this at all.
1.25/10
I give this album a 3.3 out of 5. It was a very solid album and I would definitely listen to it again. However, it isn't one that I'd go out of my way to listen to again. Still, very decent album and each song had great lyrics.
2.5/5
Not bad at all but not something I'd ever go out of my way to listen to.
An exceptional surprise in every way
I went into this very unaware of this group
The first track "Bittersweet Symphony" is a song that I instantly knew, but I never knew it was by this group. It is an incredible track and it continues to be a big hit today.
That was the only song I knew off of this album. Every other track was the first time I heard it.
Rolling People, Space and Time, and Lucky Man were my 3 favorites off this one. Overall, an incredible album that I will definitely be revisiting.
I score this a 2.0/5
I did not enjoy this one at all. I tried to like it but I just couldn't get myself to enjoy any of it.
2.5/5
An average album that isn't bad but doesn't stand out to me. I enjoyed the sound of it though as it was rather unique. Just not something I'd go out of my way to listen to.
Favorite Song: Shake Your Hips
A very solid album overall. 3.5/5
Favorite Song: Wish I Was Skinny
A very solid album overall. 3.6/5
Favorite Song: The Ruler's Back
Despite me giving it a 2/5, this is not a bad album by any means. I just don't enjoy the genre of rap as much as some people, so it played a factor in why I rate this so low.
My personal favorite songs on this album were the opening track "The Ruler's Back" and the ninth track "Never Change".
Favorite Song: So Long, Marianne
Leonard Cohen tells an incredible story with each song on this album. It is no wonder he is praised as a lyrical genius. I give this album a 3.0/5.0.
My favorite songs on this album were "So Long, Marianne" and "One of Us Cannot Be Wrong"
Favorite Song: Glittering Prize
I enjoyed this album. The only song I heard from 'Simple Minds' prior to this was the well known hit track "Don't You (Forget About Me)". None of the songs on this album really stood out, but it was still a solid album in my opinion. So I give it a 3.1/5.0
Favorite Track: Lime Tree Arbour
This album has a very 'jazzy' feel to it. About 75-80% of the tracks on this album I found to have really relaxing melodies.
Apparently, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are known for having each album sound entirely different from their previous ones.
I rate this album a 3.0/5.0. I enjoyed it for what it was, and I appreciate the unique vibes it gives off to the listener.
Favorite Track: Ferris Wheel
I did not find the appeal for this album.
The one song I did find some enjoyment out of was the fourth track on the album titled 'Ferris Wheel'
It is not the worst album I have heard by any means, but I still can't say I enjoyed it sadly. 2.0/5.0
Favorite Track: Darlin' Wait for Me
This album had an abundance of slower songs. Two songs I particularly enjoyed were "Darlin' Wait for Me" & "Born Under a Bad Sign".
I rate this album 2.7/5.0. I enjoyed this album for what it was, but I would not go out of my way to relisten to it.
Favorite Track: Heart of Glass
A very up-beat and fun album to listen to. I knew quite a few songs on this one.
I rate this album 3.6/5
Favorite Track: Broken English
I found this album to be pretty forgettable. No songs stood out to me.
A very average album for the most part
I rate this album 2.4/5
Favorite Track: american dream
This album had a unique sound considering it was released in 2017. Most of the songs have good early 2000s night club vibes.
I found this album to be average, but still enjoyable
I rate this album 2.5/5
Favorite Track: Back in the Day (feat. Jay-Z)
This was such an unenjoyable album that I did not enjoy in the slightest. I would never go back to listen to this one. Not for me at all.
I rate this album 1.4/5
