3.5 would be my true rating. some great pop sensibilities, covered by the "90's noise". great lyrical content. amazing energy.

Have always loved this record. great continuation of the grittiness Rod had with Faces, but adds layers of complexity and dynamics to the mix. How can you not love an album that has Maggie May on it.

First time listening to this record, even though i was aware it was a classic. I love the string arrangements and the subtle acoustic guitar arrangements more than anything else. this isn't your kids pop. I will certainly listen to this again. Probaly add it to my collection on the shelf, rather than stream it.

Not as memorable hooks as their later catalog. I understand the importance of this record, but it doesn't do it for me.

amazing production. was well aware of the radio songs that have been overplayed WAY TOO MUCH! Was surprised how much I enjoyed the tracks i've never heard. Mark Knopfler is stellar throughout.
