Debut by Björk
May 02 2023

This was very interesting, I was studying alongside so I couldn't really pay full attention but she really has an oddly pleasing voice, very light and airy. It's more of an audio journey than an album, one reviewer described it as being on a city tour with Bjork as your guide and I wholeheartedly agree. I specially enjoyed the house party song (There's more to life than this), the production is great and has spacial awareness (oh yeah I wanted to use this at least once) with the music fading as the door closes and her wanting to get away from the boring party is something anyone can relate to. Definitely worth a re-listen later.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
May 03 2023

Eh, not my thing. The production is interesting but I just don't like their voices and its very difficult for me to digest white boys talking about guns, hoes, gangs, shooting up places or whatever. Would not relisten.

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
May 04 2023

Could only listen to it once because I was really occupied with studying but I definitely loved whatever I heard, definitely gonna relisten after I'm done with my exams

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
May 08 2023

Really loved it, the vocals are clean the instrumentals are great and the overall vibe of the album is amazing.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
May 11 2023

It was definitely interesting, not interestingly good unfortunately. The entire album doesn't exactly feel cohesive jumping from (to my ears) genre to genre. I liked a couple of tracks like "Punk It Up", "Jive my baby". Would not relisten

Black Metal by Venom
May 12 2023

So wannabe edgy, "midnight, 666!" really dawg? I guess I'm just not a fan of the genre

Slayed? by Slade
May 17 2023

2.5 I suppose, its just rock and I saw Marvin Gaye and Pink Floyd in my history tab so I couldn't really wait for this to get to over to get to them.

May 18 2023

This was probably the first classic soul album I heard and I loved it, his voice is magical and the entire album is really well put together. I specially loved A Change Is Gonna Come and I've Been Loving You Too Long.

Maybe I judged you too harshly. Marked a 2/5 after my first listen but its been revised to a 3/5 after 2 more. It's definitely interesting, the soundscape is fun and the vocals are super energetic as well.
