fucking riot of an album. stupid catchy. it’s lacking in musical complexity but i don’t think that’s completely necessary here. this is an essential new wave album
although i appreciate their contributions to the electronic genre, this particular style is not my cup of tea. the lyrical content is extremely dated too. songs like “smack my bitch up” are blatantly misogynistic. that being said, i did find myself grooving to a few songs
wow, the “genius” of ray charles? some ego huh 😒 nah but fr these are some excellently crafted songs. i especially loved the abrasion. there’s such an incredible energy to this album too. shoutout to the blind legend 😎
the blend of reggae and 80’s rock is awesome. definitely coming back to this one
this is raw as shit. loved this upon the first listen. perfect for my ADHD punk desires. definitely coming back to this one soon.
snoozefest. sounds nice tho. study music perhaps
absolutely raw performance. loved some of the covers on this. he died not too long after this so it’s an emotional listen. rip to the legend
shit goes hard. what can i say. i can listen to this any day of the week
anything jeff beck touches is magical
this shit is ridiculous. the screaming on this one sounds like barking. not my go-to for metal but i appreciate the musicianship. “you suffer” is the shortest song i’ve seen. kinda gotta love it. maybe i’ll like it better upon returning to it in the future
i really can’t stand doo-wop music sry
badass album. wish it was on spotify
shit is hot
adele is cool. nostalgia does a lot for me here. great collection of songs. certainly not my favorite genre of music though
i love pavement so much. this was a joy to relisten to
