Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Jul 21 2023

An authentic irresistible voice, sweeping orchestras, Not a generally cohesive album from start to finish but a great collection of songs, it's great stuff!

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Jul 25 2023

Some fantastic production and wild variation in genre but can also be really self indulgent at times and all over the place, there's probably a great pop record in here but needs to trim it way back, the singles are hits

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jul 26 2023

Really great record, a good long listen

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jul 28 2023

Unbelievable blend of folk, rock, bubblegum pop and psychedelia. The tracks with Grace Slick on lead vocal suck you in and hold on. Get a lot of Fleetwood Mac rumours vibes out of it

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Jul 01 2024

Instant hit this, bought it on cd as soon as I listened once

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jul 05 2024

Great stuff, for a record in 1969 it sounds timeless Listened to it mowing the lawn 4th July 2024

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Jul 06 2024

Gotta come back to it, not a genre I'm familiar with Had a listen on a Friday morning in the car before work

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Jul 07 2024

Dark, moody, indie, layered, really amazing Listened on a Saturday morning on the couch with the sun coming in

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jul 09 2024

Multi genre, soul, jazz, psychedelia. Crazy good bass, ridiculous jams. Willie the pimp is a standout. Challenging but very interesting compositions for a first time Zappa listener. Each track twists and turns and brings you along for the spin. Gorgeous sounding record, everything is mixed so clean. Big weird vibes.

1999 by Prince
Oct 10 2024

Few catchy songs but the production is achingly dated, it probably sounded like the sound of the future at the time but it's aged like milk!
