Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Aug 16 2023

A great album with a great message. Marley is amazing on every track. But it does get a bit repetitive with essentially the same beat over and over again on every track. I enjoyed my listen of the album but I doubt I'll come back for any repeat listens.

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Aug 17 2023

I'm enjoyed the guitar riffs and I've heard a few of the songs a thousand times. It's weird hearing them in the context of an album. They feel out of place. Also, almost every song is about sex. The last song is a ballad and it's weird. Tyler sounds like a dying rat in parts of the song. This album is not for me. I can maybe see why people enjoyed it almost 50 years ago but I just don't get much out of it.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Aug 18 2023

I expected to like this album more than I did. It feels like an album ahead of its time but also dated. I did listen through this a few times though and found a few good songs I liked on it. But unfortunately, I don't think I'll come back to this album. Favorite Songs: Safe From Harm, Unfinished Sympathy Least Favorite Songs: One Love, Five Man Army, Daydreaming, Lately

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Aug 21 2023

Classic 90's album. The vocals are great, the riffs are great, and so many songs are straight classics. The only downside is that I've heard these songs a billion times so their impact is a bit muffled for me. I still think it's a great album though and always worth a relisten from time to time. Favorite Songs: Rooster, Angry Chair, Would?, Them Bones Least Favorite Songs: Untitled, Dam That River

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Aug 22 2023

Incredible album, with so much heart in it. I've read that some of the songs were written when she was 16 but you'd never be able to guess which ones because the subject matter and writing on every song is from such a mature place. This may have come out in 1996 but it sounds timeless. Apple doesn't have the greatest voice but it's unique and every word sounds like it is dripping in emotion and depth. Favorite Songs: Criminal, Sleep To Dream, Shadowboxer Least Favorite Songs:

It's a great final album from The Man in Black. Lots of covers on this but I think the two best songs are the opening and closing songs which are both originals. Favorite Songs: The Man Comes Around, We'll Meet Again Least Favorite Songs: Danny Boy, Sam Hall, Tear Stained Letter

Aug 24 2023

Great album. I loved the energy and the silly weirdness of it. Hard to believe this came out in 1978. Ahead of its time for sure. Favorite Songs: Uncontrollable Urge, Gut Feeling Least Favorite Songs: Shrivel-Up, Satisfaction, Space Junk

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Aug 25 2023

Not sure what to make of this album. It's unique. A mix of Indian music and late 90's electronic music. Not sure I'll come back to this one again but I didn't hate my listens of it.

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Aug 28 2023

Really enjoyed the first song but the rest didn't hit as hard. Maybe if I had listened a few more times I'd find more interest in the rest of the tracks.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Aug 29 2023

A staple of rock and roll albums. Absolute classic. Favorite Songs: American Girl, Breakdown, Hometown Blues Least Favorite Songs: Luna
