"You've Got it Bad Girl", "Superstition" "You Are the Sunshine of my Life" classics…Love this album but hard not to compare to Innervisions which will be released a year later.
Great mix of blues, rock, and country. This feels like a super technical album with a great layout of tracks. Double length albums are hard to pull off but the Stones do it well here. Songs like "Sweet Virginia" and "All Down The Line" provide awesome contrast.
I'd list my favorites on here but it would make this too long. Widely see one of Wonder's best albums you can see why. The political commentary under catchy hooks and great insrumentals almost hide the intent of the album. Almost. It's funk, it's latin, it's R&B, this album is pure gold.
These are maybe the fathers of hard rock. This album goes really hard when compared with their last few releases before this. Drums are on point with some great audio mixing. Great technical talent here.
I really enjoyed this album. They have a sound that was definitely popular for the time but the record is pretty well done. There were not too many standout tracks but every one was solid. Not any stinkers.
This is probably THE album for Jane's Addiction with their more recognizable hits of "Been Caught Stealing" and "Stop". I enjoyed some of the longer B-sides they put on here. It probably overstayed its welcome with me by 20 or so minutes but a fine album.
I'll be coming back to some of these songs for sure. What a fun album. Super easy to listen to, very funny lyrics and I'm sure at the time was super tongue-in-cheek with how many commercials they were doing. It all fit together well too.
This album is close to a work of art as they come for me. This probably means more to me because of how I grew up with this album in my teen years.
This is such a good Album for John. I'm a bigger fan of his Plastic Ono Band but this is really great. Imagine is overplayed now but what a nice song for the time.
The history behind this album alone gives it quite a bit but this short 2 song album is actually pretty good. Just wish it was longer. Good African jazz.
This was a good album. I hadn't heard this one or even of this artist but I really liked the composition and length. The boroque style of a few of the tracks was nice. Very political album.
Very erie tracks. Enjoyed the orchestral aragements and the voice of the singer. This was a good album. I could see myself coming back and listening to other songs of theirs.
I was going to try to be critical and not just auto give it a 5 rating, but this is just a very well put together album. Some amazing hits on here. Great length and lyrical composition.
Great album, enjoyed the guitar, enjoyed Aretha's voice. Definitely her BEST album. She's a classic.
The mix is bad. Maybe if this was remastered sure but you can't really do that with a live performance. I know Bob Dylan is super influential in the music space, but I just don't get the music he plays. I love his music, just played by other people.
I really liked this album. I had never heard of this artist tunitl now and this specific album is pretty powerful and at the time in 2016 was probably pretty cutting edge. I liked the narrative pieces in the middle of the album, set up some great songs.
Good album, very dark and eerie soundscapes. It definitely feels like it was made for a horror movie set in the deep south.
I love jazz. This album really isn't different from many of the others in the space. I do understand it's hard to differentiate yourself on these. I can respect it and have listened to this album in it's entirety a few times, but there's nothing new here. Just well crafted jazz that you can get in a lot of clubs around the US.
Very much enjoy this album from the Pixies. For me this is one of their best. A band a head of their time for sure.
This album brings back some great memories for me. I feel like this is a good example of a great southern rock album.
I really like the sound of these guys. I think that I can see why they aren't main stream but not sure why we don't hear more of their stuff today. There wasn't any filler here all of this was great music.
Some great NYC rap. This has possibly most of their biggest hits so definitely the best of their albums.
Enjoyed this! I enjoyed the sound they used for this it was pretty varied, DLZ was good.
