Beauty And The Beat
The Go-Go'sRadio tracks are solid! They have aged quite well. The deeper tracks are not as robust.

Deep tracks had a nice gritty modern blues feel. The popular radio tracks feel like I'm at a sportsball venue.

Definitely, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts -- each song on its own is strong, but together this album comes to life like a bizarre storybook out of some strange parallel universe. Say what you will about Dylan's singing voice, his lyrical poetry is an absolute masterpiece. "The sun isn't yellow, it's chicken."
The rock opera concept, while creative, did not age well in this album. The radio hits are still solid, but the connecting songs were contrived and did little to make the cohesive story any more enjoyable. I probably would not listen to this end-to-end again, even though the hits are in steady rotation in my various playlists. 5 stars for the hit songs. 3 stars for the execution and concept. 4 stars overall.
Fantastic album - I wish it was longer. Loved the sound and could listen to this every day.
80s synth has not aged well. Would have given this 4 stars in the 80s - "Sledgehammer", "Red Rain", "In your eyes" are all classics. The rest hasn't held up well.
Solid album - great background listening and some of the tracks are starting to grow on me. Probably not going to be incorporated into heavy rotation on my playlists, but definitely something to listen to on a regular cadence.
Fantastic sound -- just great. Worth finding on vinyl.
Meh, this album was rather generic. I did enjoy some of the instrumental tracks at the end. Probably won't listen to this again.
Sleepy daydream album - not really my cup of tea. The outlier was "Dear God" which is a much heavier track than the rest of the album. Musically solid, probably will only listen to "Dear God" again.
Solid album. I would add this to the rotation.
Wasn't expecting this from the Kinks, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Light and fun.
Not sure what I'm listening to, but I feel I should be in a field with a torch and horn of mead. If this was cool when it was released, it has not aged well.
Just amazing. Calm, mellow, relaxing.
Enjoyable 80s Brit-pop. New to me and a few nice catchy tunes. I'd give it another listen and see what grows on me.
Nothing really stood out as amazing, but it's worth another listen. Not as strong as some of her other work, but a quality effort.
I liked the deeper tracks much better. The radio cuts have been overplayed to the point of annoyance. The bluesy tracks were enjoyable. "Kashmir" is grating now.
"Superstition" earns this a few more stars, but this was saccharine laden pop otherwise. Not my cup of tea. Big fan of his other work, but this was too syrupy and poppy.
Mellow, feels like background music for a rainy day drinking coffee. Not overly exciting, but worth another listen.
Amazed I'd never heard her music. This was really enjoyable and refreshing. Second listen was even more enjoyable. Loved the mellow vibe.
Didn't hate it, didn't love it. Eclectic and probably has a place and time, but not in daily rotation. Surprised Tom and Tim Burton haven't put together something weird.
