1001 Albums Summary

Never listened to this album all the way through before, enjoyed it although while some of the songs and themes are still timely re police violence and racism, some of the lyrics don't stand up to modern day listening. Rap has changed a lot since this album came out.

I've never listened to this album all the way through before, but am familiar with a lot of the songs from my dad playing Beatles in the car when I was a child. I loved listening to it, and had a lightbulb moment when listening to Within You Without You - that the Flight of the Concords song is spoofing it on their track Prince of Parties. I'd never been able to pin down what song FOTC were attempting to spin before, but now I know :)

Hated it, really not my thing at all.

I know I shouldn't like it as a fully grown woman, but I was a huge fan of Robbie Williams as a young teen. I haven't listened to his stuff in a long time, I've moved on from the tastes of my teens, but I couldn't help myself from enjoying listening to this album back after so long. Its a blatant attempt at trying to be more rock and to shed his happy chappy Take That persona, but despite all this I really enjoyed going back to the late 90's and remembering being sat in my room as a kid listening, or jumping around my best friends bedroom to Let Me Entertain You all those years ago.

Enjoyed this a lot even though this kind of rock isn’t normally my thing.
