1001 Albums Summary

Just a classic.

The Stones are icons, but their stuff is hit or miss for me. "Sympathy for the Devil" hits, but the rest not as much.

Great album and a great talent. You hear MoTown running deep and wide throughout this album.

Curtis Mayfield isn't something I typically listen to, but it still sounded familiar in places. That speaks to the influence this album has.

Bob Dylan hasn't really done it for me in the past, but I did enjoy this album. Some familiar songs.

This is the first album I got that was from my generation. DM was part of the soundtrack for high school and college. I have a lot of sentimental love for the album. It just resonates with the years I was coming of age. It's hard not to like.

It's Parliment. Classic awesomeness. Nothing else to say.

Not my typical genre, but almost all of it was familiar.

The occasional drop of the N-word was a bit jarring, but those were different times. However, it has "Papa Was A Rollin' Stone". What's not to like?

It's Radiohead. Those guys are legends. Great album.

This is a great album. I don't know if it is officially a blues album. If not, you can hear the blues' influence come through loud and clear.
