I just don’t really dig this band. 2/5

Pretty fun, a bit overproduced for my taste.

Pretty good but feels kind of homogeneous - I get bored after a while

Billie is great, instrumentation is a little spare on this album

Fantastic album! I knew Jimi was good but mostly only heard the radio hits. This is getting added to the rotation!

Grew up on this record, and then gained even greater appreciation after listening to the season of The Opus podcast about it.

Fantastic album! Even the lesser known tracks are total jams. This was one of the first hip hop albums I loved.

Pretty good but didn’t totally grab me - I’d like this if it were 25% heavier maybe. I was hopeful because I know he has producer credit on a lot of cool albums, but this didn’t interest me enough to dig deeper.

Love all the insane samples, lyrics are fun too.

I checked this out from the library as a teenager, and recorded it to tape. In the end it’s not really my favorite music, but it’s pretty solid and nostalgic so it’s at the top end of 4 stars but doesn’t make it to 5.

I should be able to appreciate this more but it’s just too bubble gum pop for me.

I love the Pixies and some of Frank Black’s solo work. This one doesn’t really grab me - good but not great.
