The Bends by Radiohead
Oct 23 2023

Really enjoyed the vibe. No skips and cohesive enough where you can just play it through w/o stopping. Listened to it quite a bit. Lacking any standout song which demands I keep going back to a particular track. Kind of reminds me of coldplay a little bit but less pop-ish/contrived (?)

Disintegration by The Cure
Oct 24 2023

First two songs were really cool. I like the way they opened with no vocals for a long period of time, and the music was really interesting. But the next couple of songs were almost unlistenable for me lol I could not stand his voice for whatever reason but as it kept going, I enjoyed the later half of the album more. Likely not some thing I’ll go back to, but it was fine I guess.

Imagine by John Lennon
Oct 25 2023

I wasn’t expecting to give this four stars. But I don’t know, there’s somethings kind of cool about it? All of the songs are very distinct and memorable, but also cohesive enough to make sense together. Not a fan of imagine lol. I feel like he has something to say in this music but the songs them selves are a bit weird, but cool? I don’t know how to describe it.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Oct 26 2023

Funny to think of a time when music like this would be “hip” and what the people who enjoyed it were like. Good, but nothing special which I feel the urge to go back and listen to.

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Oct 27 2023

Fine, wanted to like it but nothing to come back to. Mojo songs were the best ones.

The Visitors by ABBA
Nov 03 2023

Idk it’s good but I just can’t get into it lol

Here Are the Sonics by The Sonics
Nov 24 2023

Would’ve gave it 3 but then read other reviews and learned basically all the songs are covers.. idk I didn’t hate it but… idk lol

Rio by Duran Duran
Nov 27 2023

Classic songs and sound.. respect the artistry but not rly my vibe unforch

Metallica by Metallica
Nov 28 2023

Really enjoyed this. Would be a great road trip album

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Dec 01 2023

Really different but I enjoyed it a lot. My only issue is that some of the highs were a little loud and sharp.. I wonder if there is a remastered version? Never heard anything like this though

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Dec 04 2023

Didn’t love it, although to be fair I wasn’t paying super close attention when I had it playing. But the good thing is I let Spotify keep playing after the album finished, and I came across some really cool jazz stuff. Idk I think I see like a little jazz phase coming up for me…. it’s great shower music. It doesn’t demand your full focus for the entire duration of each song, so you can float in and out while you think about other stuff (?)
