Like many of you, I grew up with this album. I always love being reminded of the goofiness and creativity they had in their music that you only really get when listening to their albums in full. When My Guitar Gently Weeps will forever be one of my favorites, and Blackbird will always have a special spot in my mind as the first song I ever learned on guitar. Great job Ringo, keep up the good work! 4.5/5
Really cool bad I haven't listened too in a while. You can tell they drew influence from the Velvet Underground, and I'm sure bands like U2 and Lush drew influence from them. Anyone else feel like some of these songs belong in a John Hughes soundtrack? Solid 4/5
Mega not my jam; the guitar was sometimes cool but I had to suffer through those vocals 1.5/5
Really like the blend of jazz, folk, and soft rock on this album, was jamming to it as I got ready this morning. Solid 4/5
This was pretty ok; similar vibes to Darklands but I like it slightly less. Cool band name, cooler album cover. 3/5
The first half of this album was underwhelming, but the back half really carried it for me. I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday and Seasick, yet Still Docked were my favorites. Also appreciated the colonial flute placed in the background of a couple of the songs, very British of him. Solid 3.5/5
Some of the songs were a little soft for my liking, but overall really liked the songwriting of this album. My mom played a lot of her growing up so it was nostalgic and cozy listening back to this album this morning. Favorites: Neighborhood Girls and Marlene on the Wall. 4/5
Full album is straight heat; there's a reason so many people have him in their top 5. First 5/5 from me
This was a truly lovely listen; absolutely adding it to my rotation and am really glad this app connected me with it. 5/5
All classics no skips. 5/5
Not what I normally listen to, but I can def appreciate the synth and lyrics. Pretty experimental album that I respect but don't love. Not for me. 2.5/5
Pretty cool bluesy album. I like the guitar and the lead vocalist's voice. A little bit repetitive on the back end, but overall really good album imo. 4/5
Album so good i have it on vinyl! Truly a classic, love listening to this track 5/5
Method Man is a legend but this album was not my favorite. Some of the tracks were cool but a little too underground for my liking. 2.5/5
mid
Crazy ass album filled with drinking songs and ballads. I'm not sure if any of these songs are PC, but I'm glad I gave it a listen. Tells you how unhinged the UK was in the 80s. Not my thing but I respect it (minus the outdated terminology obv). 3/5
Really really liked this one; so many bangers all on one album. 4.5/5
Kinda slow and very mid. 3/5
Sorry for the temporary hiatus; came back to a straight banger. This album will always be amazing; love Lauren and all the instrumentals on this project. Easy 6/5
Not really my thing. 2.5/5
Classic. 4/5
Not my thing. 2/5
Not my favorite at all. 1.5/5
Pretty damn good. 4/5
Great album; grew up listening to it. 4/5
