Homework
Daft PunkHad some good beats but I found it a bit too repetitive. My favourites were Da Funk, Teachers, and of course Around the World.

I don't need this website to tell me to listen to this album. I already love it!
Nice base but meh. Nothing particularly caught my ear. I wish more songs had lyrics to them.
THE DUET WITH THOM YORKE IS EVERYTHING OMG their voices are perfect together
Most songs are chill, some are funky. Pretty nice!
Hmm so I guess I like U2 now! And that's why I love 1001 albums so much! I've tried getting into them before because people said they're similar to Coldplay, but Best of U2 didn't cut it. Achtung Baby came up a couple of months ago on 1001 albums as well, and although I gave it 4 stars it wasn't memorable and I haven't listened to any of the tracks again since. I liked a lot of tracks on ARYCLB, and I can now see why people compare them to Coldplay. Some of the riffs were indeed reminiscent. The bass line in New York particularly stuck out. The Ground Beneath Her Feet might just be my favourite track on the album.
Why does he remind me of David Bowie?
4.5 stars, rounding up because I was pleasantly surprised I've been wanting to listen to a Beatles album for a long time, I've just been too unsure where to start so I never have. Until today! So funnily enough I ended up starting with one of their last albums. I really liked this, and will definitely listen to it again in the future. My favourites are Something, Maxwell's Silver Hammer and I Want You.
This sounded like something I would like, but turns out I didn't like it that much. The instrumentals were good - I really liked Paralysed and the bass in Familiar was 🤤. The vocals are very 80s which took a bit from the experience. I don't think I'll listen to it again in the future, but at least I discovered a new subgenre of 90s British rock.
Nice guitars! I think my favourites were Zoo Station and Love is Blindness. The Mysterious Ways Tabla Motown remix was pretty good too imo! You might catch me coming back to this album again
I'd never heard of Fiona Apple before today, nor was a single song on this album familiar to me. Carrion and Criminal were quite nice, and while I didn't have a bad time listening to the rest of album, I found it to be forgettable. I wonder why it made the list.
I lol'ed when this title came up. Despite claiming to like rock music, never in my life have I imagined myself deliberately listening to a Black Sabbath album start to finish. Well, it wasn't half as bad as I thought, I actually had an ok time listening to it, but I don't think I'll find myself coming back to it. I did like Planet Caravan a lot (the only non-heavy track in the whole album XD), and A+ for creativity for naming a song Jack the Stripper hehe
Lana makes good study music, will probably come back to it
That opening track was definitely something. I get that this was probably put on here because of its revolutionary views on religion etc (in fact it was apparently banned in Malta when it came out), but most songs were just ... noise? The screaming even sounded demonic at times. Yeah no. I listen to music to relax and have a good time. Genuinely curious to read other reviews now, like are there people out there who listen to this out of choice?
Quite nice and relaxing! Felt like I was in a coffee shop
Very 80s and very British. The songs kind of blended together and none was particularly memorable, but Never Had No One Ever and Bigmouth Strikes Again were pretty nice. 2.5/5, rounding up because I feel like it deserves a pass
I liked the radio programme concept but a) why is this so childish? b) not sure why it's classified as hip hop? c) it was nice to hear African musical styles, but on further research it just appears to be a white British guy?
I always thought REM were a one-hit-wonder band so I was surprised to see this isn't the Losing My Religion album. I had a good time listening to this!
I've listened to other Radiohead albums in the past but never to any of the songs off of this one. I liked quite a few songs off of this, but Radiohead is a bit difficult for me to rate because I find that I have to be in a specific mood and setting to listen to and enjoy their songs, plus their music was a bit of an acquired taste if I'm being totally honest. So I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars.
This somehow gave me... cabin in the woods/wild west vibes? Never heard of John Martyn before, and nothing like what I usually listen to, but I liked it. My favourites were Solid Air, Don't Want to Know, Man in the Station, and the second half of The Easy Blues. Will be coming back to it
Didn't mind listening to this, but my ears are really not attuned to this kind of music it all kind of sounded the same?
I hadn't heard of this band before but I instantly recognised More Than A Feeling. There were a few songs which stood out from the rest, especially the slightly slower ones (More Than A Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay/Long Time, Let Me Take You Home Tonight). I can definitely picture myself returning to this album if the right mood strikes. 3.5 stars, rounding up because I was pleasantly surprised and am feeling generous
Not bad at all! Bonny, Appetite and He'll Have to Go were my favourites
I knew Message in a Bottle, but none of the rest of the songs from this album. I don't really get The Police, I wouldn't say this was bad but they just don't do it for me - I was counting down the songs till the end. If I had to pick favourites I'd say Bring on the Night and Walking on the Moon.
*1.5 stars* Not bad, but quite boring and for some reason, somewhat childish too? If I had to pick a favourite, I'd choose No Compassion or Psycho Killer, but even then, I don't really see myself listening to these songs again.
She has such a beautiful voice! Apart from the well-known songs off this album, I really liked Mountains O' Things and For My Lover!
