I usually love new wave music but this album just felt boring. Didn't stand out from other artists and didn't really capture my attention
Bowie influence heavy. See where gorillaz gets some influence. Vocals are charismatic, happy vibes with overt sexuality throughout and themes of classism. Dig the chords changes and fun melodies. Has some bits of the smith's in the rhythm section. Fun listen good start and end just ok middle of the album. Loved: underwear Good: disco 2000, live bed show, Meh: Something changed, Monday morning, bar italia Bad: Sorted for E's and Whizz, FEELINGCALLEDLOVE,
Daft punk before they were robots. Feels rough around the edges but the skeleton of what made Discovery and Daft Punk so iconic is there. 7.5/10

Clocks is a banger. Never cared for the scientist. Overall I think it's a boring album that was good for its time but has aged not as well as the debut Parachutes, which felt more defining and had a much more memorable sound.
Every breath you take is a classic but I really don't care for the rest of the album. Expiremental for its time and really popularized worldbeat in the 80s but I don't think many of the sounds stuck. Good album, not great. One of the best singles of all time. 7.5/10

Frank Sinatra just has a magical voice. Great listen
Great album. Guitar tone is heavy and the rhythm section comes through feeling powerful. Definitely understand why this is considered one of the best metal albums ever
Decent album. I think the first half is worse than the second half. Crowded house does it best when they slow it down and you can hear some of their influence in bands of the 90s (Hootie, Pearl Jam). 3/5
Amazing, soulful album. Early Kanye production works well with Common's lyricism. It felt like both artists were on the same page and wanted to send a beautiful message to their community. 4.5/5.
Very interesting album. Frank zappa and company made a huge statement critiquing and spoofing 60s culture. Their parody songs mimicked the genre tropes incredibly well while still delivering a heavy dose of disdain. The album sags a bit in the middle until the songs directly criticizing the ignorance of middle Americans come up. The album becomes an experimental journey and ode to rebellion that is a trip and a joy to listen to.
Lou Reed had such an amazing voice and cadence on this album. It feels like he was in tune with the scene and really expressed his view in a powerful way without the loudness and the big show that many other musicians were doing at the time. This album is a classic and has such a unique sound that it is recognizable almost instantly. Such a fun listen.
Classic Frank Ocean. His beautiful songwriting and voice shine throughout the album and he still has some of the weirdness from his Odd Future days in the mix. A great listen all the way through
Amazing album. One of the highs for plunderphonics. The grooves were strange but funky and the samples always keep you listening for more. Lots of fun to listen to.
Decent album. Probably ahead of ita time when it came out but feels very conventional new wave. Did not age as well as some other artists of the era
Fun album but felt short. Definitely a great prog rock album but I find better albums in rushes discography
TheStrokes's debut album presented a unique sound with the jangly guitar riffs and iconic vocals of Julian Casablancas. Each song has energy and it is a fun listen to get through.
