1001 Albums Summary

Glad I finally listened through the whole album. Only A Fool Would Say That is still probably my favorite Steely Dan track. Found a few others that I liked that I hadn't heard before, including Midnite Cruiser, Fire In The Hole, and Turn That Heartbeat Over Again).

My first real exposure to Biggie. Need to give it a deeper listen at some point but I see why he's regarded as highly as he is. He's incredibly talented and it's clear that the messages on his tracks came from a very real place.

Love Neil Young. I had already heard a few of the biggest tracks off this album, but was nice to listen through the whole thing. Heart of Gold, Old Man, and The Needle and the Damage Done are all incredibly beautiful songs.

The title track was very cool, but I'm not the biggest sci-fi prog rock fan. I liked a few tracks on the back half of the album as well. Something for Nothing was the most reminiscent of other Rush tracks that I've heard.

Definitely in line with other Eminem albums I've listened to from the same time period in terms of vibe, language, shock factor, etc. Not something I can listen to every day, but his rapping is undeniably on point.

Dig the first half a lot more than the back half! I had heard 3 of the first 5 tracks but none of the others. The back half started to blend together for me, but I'll definitely keep coming back to the few songs I'd heard before.

Deeper listen needed for this one at some point too! Still love All Along the Watchtower.

Had never really listened to LCD Soundsystem before but need to dive deeper into this and their discography at some point.

Feels like an instant classic to me. Will be listening through more of Bowie's full albums.

Very cool. Definitely up my alley in terms of jazz.
