Amnesiac by Radiohead
Nov 06 2023

Incredibly experimental; I'm really surprised that this one, from what I've read, seemed to be so loved by the mainstream when it was released Dark, depressing, unsettling album, and so damn interesting. I think that how polarizing the album seems to be on the internet (alongside Radiohead in general) is a testament to how much they pushed music's boundaries on this one

Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode
Nov 07 2023

Maybe this album was more ground-breaking or influential when it came out, but at least here in 2023 it was a very forgettable hour of 80's synth-pop

With The Beatles by Beatles
Nov 09 2023

I respect the value this album and this group has, but the british-flower-power sort of music has never really interested me (as much as I try to like it) The one track I enjoyed was Till There Was You, probably because it was largely outside of their regular genre.

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Nov 10 2023

On my first listen through I was wondering if british pop music just isnt my thing, but after giving it another listen it started to grow on me. Still didn't leave a lasting impression, though. Maybe this one will need a revisit.

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Nov 13 2023

Perfectly encapsulates how I feel when we finally flip the closed sign at the shop after a long stressful day at work, and I let out a piercing scream of release Pretty solid experimental rock here; I have no complaints but the album also didn't really move me enough to want to save any tracks either.

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Nov 14 2023

I got the energy of mid 1960s greasers, but in Hawaiian shirts Honestly, the only track on this album with its own distinct sound was of course message in a bottle; the rest all sort of just blended together in a mash of rock and reggae. While listening to this one I thought of it at least as a good entry point if someone was just getting into reggae, and then felt kind of stupid because the album title translated is literally "white reggae" Best Track: Message in a Bottle

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 15 2023

I'm a powerful man and a patriot hell yeah brother god bless America I had a good time with this one, not my usual thing but I was enjoying myself

Moss Side Story by Barry Adamson
Nov 16 2023

Seems like it was fun for the artist, but I wouldve been perfectly okay dying without listening through this album

Suzanne Vega by Suzanne Vega
Nov 17 2023

A lovely lil bit of folk pop, great lyricist

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Nov 20 2023

Didnt have high expectations for this one, ended up having a good time with it A joyride of psychadelic rock, blues, and dead babies

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Nov 21 2023

The album's themes felt all over the place halfway through, it was enough to get an eyebrow raise out of me and pull me out of it As individual songs go though I really enjoyed this one, though I only began to really appreciate it once I listened to it a 2nd time through I wanna be a cowboy, baby

Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear
Mar 20 2025

Like 2-3 good songs
