Dummy by Portishead
Nov 22 2023

Sounds like what I'd think NIN would sound like. Good atmosphere, but also kinda slow. 4.5/10 Good instrumentals

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Nov 23 2023

Goes unbelievably hard. After listening to a lot of modern rock and especially alternative rock I'd think this wouldn't hold up and I always put off listening to it. It's great, while the vocals are slightly annoying the mixing and composition is amazing, the guitars are making sounds I have never heard of. Most of the songs have a good chugging rhythm that makes me want to get up and run. Classic and I get the influence now and why everybody likes it. Notable Songs: Blackened, ...And Justice For All,

Because of its age and being british the bite it has is very soft. It feels like if anarchists had christian values All of the songs just sound like one continuous song, all very alike. Best songs: Seventeen, Anarchy in the U.K. (classic), New York

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Nov 25 2023

It's pretty good I wanted to like it more just because Bowie is great. Very epic in a literal sense, very anthemic and its much more enjoyable knowing just how many substances he's on as its almost a feature on every song. its weird but alright. Notable Songs: Drive-In Sat, Cracked Actor, Time, Lets Spend the Night Together, The Jean Genie

Nov 26 2023

Its Bob Dylan. It was alright but most of the songs sounded the same with a few exceptions. Super influential and sounds pretty good by today standards.

The Yes Album by Yes
Nov 28 2023

Pretty good, very experimental.

Nov 29 2023

Classic but always bored me. The Lyricism is good but the songs are too boring and not unique enough to be 3+ minutes unless its REALLY telling a good story. I love what it's influenced more like Kendrick, Eminem, Wayne and kind of every big rap icon. Before this criticism seems stupid if you compare him to BIG he has aged much better and some of the songs sound like they came out not too long ago with much better beats too. I respect it and its historically relevant but i'm bored out of my mind.

Hms Fable by Shack
Nov 30 2023

It's mixed and mastered well, and very upbeat and happy. Very listenable and sounds like it would make good garage band music. Songs are different enough to keep it interesting but all laid back. British people.

Life Thru A Lens by Robbie Williams
Dec 01 2023

Very nice sound. The lyrics are pretty stupid and predictable but it sounds nice. Definitely makes me wonder who the hell Robbie William's is because his profile looks like he smells his own shit for fun. Sounds like it would steal the show on a Shrek soundtrack. It also sounds like whoever made these sounds was never told no and I feel like he would label himself a self-titled genius, I get that vibe because the songs sound like they were made for a certain emotion in mind it was absolutely INTENDED, but it was done through very on the nose spoon-fed lyrics. It reeks of look at my songwriting skill yet falls short to prove it, but still pretty listenable.

Odelay by Beck
Dec 02 2023

The lyrics are mostly random bullshit and it's great artistic expression. The personality of Beck shines through as a laid back loser and it really does sound like it was made by a guy who did way too many drugs and just created an image for himself. Really good and unique. Im Jammin this was a good album.

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Dec 04 2023

Vibey, Great. I've haven't heard much spanish/english music and because of that all the influences and sounds are pretty new to me and sound great and fresh. Holds up for coming out in 1998 and translating the songs reveal how much of a cool and creative guy wrote these songs, great album.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Dec 05 2023

I really liked the Suburbs but this is mostly a miss. Annoying vocals but could be worse for 2007; Inoffensive.

Here Are the Sonics by The Sonics
Dec 06 2023

Initially sounds like blown out cow pussy production wise but it did come out in 65. No matter the time or reasoning its always weird to hear them singing little girl and probably meaning it too. Alright album sounds like Twist and Shout by the Beatles but made into an 12 song album.

Two Dancers by Wild Beasts
Dec 07 2023

Grabbed my attention, really really good sounding. Sounds like stereolab but cleaner and more punctual/drummy. French people? Great head nodding music and would probably go crazy at a gay bar. I love this album and will definitely check out their other albums and upon further research they are British people.

Goo by Sonic Youth
Dec 08 2023

Eh not for me but sounds good for what it is. Doesn't really do anything special not that it needs to but just sounds like every other album in the genre. Scott Pilgrim ass music. Non conformist quoth the raven ass music. Wallflower ass music. Mom found my weed pen ass music. Kool Thing is a fantastic song however, and sometimes bad vocals definitely can make a song sound more raw and or emotional but they mostly just sound bad bad in this album idk.
