Wow, what an album! If you are even a passing CCR fan, this one blows you away. Massive song after massive song after massive song. An absolute must-have album. Great fun to listen to, built the way albums used to be built - meant to put on side one, track one and just listen one after another.

Great cover album, from the spoken word opener right in to the astounding NIN cover of Hurt. Lots of standards, classic cowboy, a little teary and bittersweet to end with "We'll meet again". I sure hope we do, John, I sure hope we do!

TONS of energy, complex arrangements, very listenable singer. This kind of modern rock isn't a go to for me, but you can hear the care and imagination in the production.

I don't DISLIKE jazz, I just don't know if I get it HOWEVER, this album chilled me right out, calmed me and gave me early Santana stoner rock vibes. LOVED IT. dimmed the lights, fed some cool blue LED into the room and soaked it in. I can't pretend I understand the structuring any more than I ever did, but those are some cats baby, and I feel cooler after hanging out with them

Fun to have running in the background. This album comes off as being MUCH more enjoyable should there be a little bit of reality altering substances involved. Not a lot of substances mind you, as there is considerable complexity in the playing. Otherwise it was honestly just "meh" for me.

Monster Album. 96 Grammy for Album of the Year, Rolling Stones top 500 albums of all time, 33 MILLION copies sold. hard to find more conclusive indication of "Monster album" . As a Canadian lad who spent his 20's in the 90's, I was literally baptized in these waters. Every song on this album resonates with me, every song has a whole set of memories unique to THAT song. There is a connection to ALL the lyrics, to the sound of her voice, to the rhythm in the track list. I have spent 30+ years of my life spinning records, playing tens of thousands of songs and THIS album easily lands on my "if I only had ten albums on a dessert island". If you were close to 25 in 96, tell me I'm wrong...
