Favorite songs: Brilliant Colors, Pannonica 1st listen: Harsh dissonant chords were surprising and abrupt. Whole album felt like 1 song. 2nd listen: I was waiting for those harsh chords, enjoyed the chaos. I began to hear the subtle differences between songs 3rd listen: Whole album feels like a movie with different acts. Easy to listen to on repeat. Sounds best when played in order.
Brilliant instrumentation. Vocals bearable at 3rd listen...
1st listen: The drums! Rock and Roll. Interesting voice... Not many vocals, thank god cuz his voice. 2nd listen: Drums and guitar are heavenly. Jazzy + orchestral + rock. Vocals, tongue in cheek. Light and funny song names. Remind me of Minus the Bear. Masturbatory guitar solos that get tiring after a while. 3rd listen: Plays front to back seamlessly like a well curated playlist. Voice is actually appreciated in the middle of all instruments. Jazz and rock. Played a 4th time :) Favorite songs. Peaches in regalia, Son of Mr. Green Genes, Little Umbrellas
So many classics. Lyrics are with delving into.
Always wanted to try listening to country but didn't know where to start. This was a great introduction. Short and heartfelt songs could be covered by punk bands
Interesting, can hear the blues influence
Hauntingly beautiful. The imperfections like the difference is volume mixing between songs makes it feel even more comfy and personal. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Beautiful instruments. Horrible voice. Like a man on a bustop that won't stop talking to you. American Elbow with monotone vocals.
