This was my first time listening to reggae overall! I've heard a few individual songs certainly but never gone to an album. I enjoyed this a lot, very "vibey" and I can somewhat hear how this genre eventually evolved into reggaeton as well.
This was honestly awesome, going in the rotation.

This is interesting. It feels like background music in a way that is hard for me to describe. I went on a journey but at least this first listen I don't know where it went.
Johnny Cash is pretty unmatched. I don’t usually like “live at” but this one has a story.
I don’t think this is for me… I feel like I’m listening to dads in a backyard singing over pretty good tracks. Some of the songs are decent but I don’t think I’d listen again.
Felt like I was listening to robot ghosts. Not really my jam.
I liked some of this and found some a bit odd. Gotta go with 3* since I wouldn't turn it off but I probably wouldn't seek it out.
Gotta love The Police. Some real classics here but not into every song so it'll be 4*
Feel like this is the background music for a movie set in the 60s or early 70s which I suppose is time appropriate. A bit too repetitive and lowkey for me to want to give it a second listen.
Wow. Queued this up without taking a look at genre or anything and was thrilled from the first track. The transitions between tracks make this an even better listen together / in order to really appreciate it. Felt like I was being pulled into a trance, with a sprinkle of “abducted by aliens” and I’m into it. A few of the tracks are what I’d class as background music though, 4*
Credit where credit is due. This album has some absolute bangers. The band contrasts with the vocals in a lot of ways and it works better on some tracks than others imo. L.A. Woman has just phenomenal guitar, really stands out. Riders on the Storm has great vibes. I’m not much for this genre though. I’d listen again but probably not seek it out. Probably a 3.5* for me but we will go with 4*
Listen, they’re The Rolling Stones. They are one of the best. The ratings I’ve been using include a lot of my preference so I can come back to what I like, gotta be 4*
Really enjoyed this one. Not my usual fare at all but the storytelling elements and the banging backing music made it very enjoyable.
First song, not a huge fan. A bit too monotone for me. Does convey existential dread pretty well so if that’s the goal it’s done nicely.
TBH the vibe is good but I don’t feel any itch to listen to it again.
Even if the rest of the album sucks (which it doesn’t) Hungry Like The Wolf would carry this. Pretty great. Several songs I’d play again.
