The Joshua Tree

Not as cohesive of an album as I would have liked. Many songs felt underwhelming and out of place at times. Siamese Dream feels like more of a complete listening experience.
I can see the cultural impact of this album. But sonically I wish there were more tracks that I enjoyed. Powerful lyrics.
Incredible album. Every song is a banger. Her voice fits perfectly with the bluesy, funky guitar riffs. Can hear some inspiration from Floyd in Tall in the Saddle. Love how the album mixes slow acoustic songs with drippy electric guitar. This album flows seamlessly into itself.
As an album this feels disjointed. Individually, there are songs I enjoy, but this feels more like a collection of singles than a cohesive listening experience. The transition from yellow submarine to She Said She Said highlights this. Not sure if there are other Beatles albums on this list, but it seems strange to pick this album as a must listen over Help! or Sgt. Pepper.
Unlistenable.
Too nasally. A lot of songs are lacking in bass, but that could just be the style of the time. Most songs feel like they are lacking in depth, or like when a kid finds the alternative settings on an electric keyboard and just presses random keys.
