1001 Albums Summary

One or two good singles: message on a bottle. But the album heads significantly downhill as it goes on, to the point of being grating. I hadn't realised that the police were such a ska heavy band. Didn't hate it, wouldn't listen again by choice, 2 stars.

Really fun and great early rap album. Almost heads onto cheese, as this genre tends to do, but super fun. Love the interludes, love the intros and outros. Fun and great.

Improvisation album from a Jazz Master - maybe need to listen closer on a 2nd time but I suspect that this might be a technical masterpiece as opposed to a musical one. Or perhaps I'm just a phillistine. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't not recommend, firm 3 starts.

Great opener, lots of great tracks. Just as it's starting to get into the weeds at the end he brings out Praise You. Really enjoyed the whole album, discovered some new tunes alongside the well known classics. 5/5.

Nice little album, one or two bops.

Id never heard of Ryan Adams and this was a shock! Really solid songwriting, very catchy, at no point did it feel like it was dragging. Equally, not quite my style of music which is preventing this album getting a 4 since I'm unlikely to save any of the songs to my personal collection. Cool though!

I'm a bit shocked that this album is featured so highly on Top 100 albums of all time lists. Hotel California, the obvious standout single, is the saving grace of the album and the rest of the album is a little lacklustre for me. The Last Resort at the end is quite good, but the album never reaches very interesting heights for me. 3/5, saved by HC.

Hard to find on streaming. Listened to some other songs, never heard of this band but they seem kind of dope!
