1001 Albums Summary

Upon a first listen the album at first feels bland, each song sounding the same after just a couple tracks in. A look at the album's run-time doesn't help any initial negative feelings. The album's huge length, however, may be its saving grace. The further through the album, the more each track stands out and the more the album seems to fully form itself into something beautiful. While certainly too boring at times to be considered a personal favorite, there is no denying it is still by and large a solid album and a good listen.

The first two songs may be the best on the album. There are hits later in as well, but the album does drag a bit here and there. Regardless, it was an enjoyable listen and I will probably play it again.

I've never personally liked Michael Jackson, but I have to give the album an honorary three stars just for its popularity and importance alone. Plus one because I can still enjoy it if I'm in the right mood.
